Watch Out ZOO!!! Here We Come!!!

Yesterday--as I was watching my kids stare longingly at the outside world from our living room window...I was talking to my good friend, Gen.

The McNulty quads were going to the zoo that day...and I thought, "MAN! That's IT! I want to go to the zoo too!" So right then and there, I decided that the Steece quads would be making a little impromptu trip to the Fort Worth Zoo that very day as well! We were itching to get outside and DO something!

These pictures are so funny to me---b/c they show the blue beast sitting in front of various animals, while the quads are completely oblivious!

Ethan (green), Drew (blue), Ben (Red), and Savannah

It was exciting to see Savannah pointing and making animal noises as we approached the different attractions in the zoo. We are learning about all of these animals right now and it was so cool for the kiddies to get to see them in person and not just in books or videos! (MANY of the park animals were not on display--guess its not "zoo season" just yet)

Beautiful bald eagle

Ethan was really excited to see the horses...Poor lil horse had pink eye and was wearing a shield...Oh boy, we can sympathize with you, buddy! (Hmmm...Mama's gotta look into 4 of those eye shields!)

Ben was THRILLED to be taking a picture in front of the "Hill Country of Texas" section of the zoo.

So, we quickly stopped for some water and snacks---animal crackers! How fitting!

Here is a nice little kitty cat salivating at four deliciously plump kiddies...yummm...(again, the kids are oblivious lol!) Savannah was actually pointing at him and saying "Meeeeooowww"...I had to chuckle. "Yes, Sav...that is a BIG cat...(who would like to EAT you!)"

One last trip around to the elephants again and we were on our way!

Ahhhhhh....it felt SOOOO good to get out with the kids again! SO GOOD! Thanks for the awesome idea, Genny Gen!

SUZ!! You are one BRAVE mommy! I'm SOOOOOOOO happy you got to get out of the house. Isn't it liberating!?! The fresh air and change of pace make such a huge difference.

Your kiddos are at such a great age.. I can't wait to see all the fun adventures the summer will bring.

I love the way Prin loved the animals BUT the boys could care less!! Awww... boys! LOL!

Man, I wish we could have gone together! SOME DAY MAMA, SOME DAY!!!

I love you!

Good for you guys! I wish we could go to the zoo. The weather in my neck of the German woods is a crappy mix of snow and rain. Hope the pink eye goes away quickly!

SO fun!! I remember taking my girls to the zoo for the first time too and they were pretty clueless. I was more excited to be at the zoo then they were-DORK! Glad you got out to enjoy the beautiful day in your hood:)

I have found when I take my kids to the zoo with the Runabout (and its only a triple) we become an exhibit that gets more attention than any elephants or giraffes or what have you. People are just fascinated by this stroller. I can only imagine what its like when there are multiples involved...

We went on last Sunday to the zoo and my girls enjoyed it (check out the pictures on my blog).

The kids need fresh air and I know they enjoyed the experienced to the zoo.

Great job and I'm glad that everyone enjoyed the day.

Have a great weekend.

I don't know if I am just completely oblivious or what but I didn't realize you huys lived in North Texas. We go up there on a pretty regular basis. We should get together (if you want) the next time we are up that way. Also, we live in the Hill Country so if y'all are ever down this way come on over and we will put Mr. Ethan on a horse and let him ride till his hearts content. Thanks for the inspiration and great blog!

I didn't realize you guys live in the DFW area either...so do we! :)

I took Reese to the Ft. Worth zoo two weeks ago and I was surprised at how many of the animals were not out. Did you guys see any of the monkies? All but one kind were not on display...

Glad you guys enjoyed the day out!!

Hey! I feel the pain woman - Addie got RSV - so we went back on "isolation" too! We have been going for lots of walks, the zoo and Noah (my 2.5 year old) loves to go watch the jets take off at Luke Air Force Base - so we do car picnics and they all love it!
Hang in there and keep posting!!!!

For a family that gets to have so few "normal" days, this has to be extra sweet for you. So glad you got to go! Here's to springtime and Bluebonnets and more and more trips just like this one. Take good care!

Too cute! We took our brood last Sunday and Cullen barked at EVERYTHING. He didn't care if it was a dog, a giraffe, an elephant...it got a good ole woof woof from the Cullman. These kids are just too funny I tell ya! I love how well Ben cooperated (wink, wink) for that picture...too cute!

So fun! I am definitely jealous. I wish my 4 monkeys could go to the zoo! I sometimes wish we lived closer to some higher multiple families so we could go out on the town together!

What a great afternoon! LOVE the blue beast! LOL
How great that the kids are recognizing all of the animals now and learning sounds!
It seems like just yesterday that they were itty bitty babies :)

I have been "stalking" your blog for a while...I just wanted to tell you how cute your babes are! I have 4 children also...not all at once though! I thought it was funny that we both have a Andrew and Ben! My husband is Benjamin, and my oldest is Andrew, and then my second son Luke shares Benjamin with his daddy for his middle name! You seem like such an awesome girl, too bad your all the way in Tx.! Have a fabulous weekend.

Looks like a great visit, can only imagine how wonderful it is to be able to go out and about again - i go crazy staying in a day .

Did you really take all four by yourself? I am amazed! I took my three singletons to the Ft. Worth zoo last october with my sis and brother-in-law and their two kids and all we had was chaos...Even with three parents to five kids!

Hi Suzanne,

Just wanted to say hi. I am the crazy girl who stopped you and your cuties at the zoo for a picture with my 3 boys. I just posted that on my blog. Thanks for letting us harass you! Ha! Your quads are just too cute. I just posted about us seeing you on my blog if you want to take a peek.

Have a great day,
Holly

I love the doggie ears! My oldest won't wear them much anymore. Can't wait for Reese to get enough hair to do that! Are y'all going to the NICU reunion this year? This will be our first one & can't wait to see the nurses again. The last time we went to the NICU to visit none of the nurses we had were there.
