Summer Style Saved by Skimmies

I was super excited to review the Jockey® Skimmies® Slipshort ~ a revolutionary undergarment for every dressing dilemma!

 

 

I immediately fell in love with the softness and texture of Skimmies. The lightweight, silky-smooth material provided flexibility and full range of motion. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the slipshort did NOT suck the life out of my thighs and abdomen like some "other" popular undergarments. I know you know what I'm talking about. Sure, you might look super cute and tight in that sexy dress, but your body is SCREAMING: "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, WOMAN! Take off the constrictive, fat-sucker-upper spandex before you pass out!!!" I know which one I struggle with the most, and because I love you, I'll confess... I am a long time sufferer of the Friction Affliction, a.k.a. "fire thighs". I know it's hard to believe, but I have been void of the mythical "upper-thigh-gap" since I was in junior high, folks! And I'm okay with that. But BOY, do I hate feeling my upper thighs rubbing together.

So, I decided to put Skimmies to the test with 3 of my go-to summer outfits:

First up, the Sunday Morning Church Ensemble:

Pet peeve: When a woman is wearing a thong under a dress/skirt and the material gets bunched up in her booty crack. Nobody wants to see that! Well, no worries with these nifty Skimmies. Nice and smooth.
As a mom of quadruplet 7 year olds, I am constantly bending over to pick up the 49 legos that were strategically dropped on the floor (or something of the like). With this slipshort, I do not have to worry about flashing any brethren. Score! I already give it two thumbs up.


Outfit numero dos~ Hospital Issued Uni-Sex Scrubs. BLAH.

I was hesitant to layer shorts under my scrub pants for fear of feeling like a stuffed animal. I mean, I'm running around like a crazy person at work and the last thing I need is more layers to slow me down. But y'all, the Friction Affliction is REAL. Something about the way these loose fitting scrub pants lay, just rubs the mess out of my upper, inner thighs. It absolutely drives me bonkers!

Status report: I LOVED them. You could not see the outline of the shorts under my pants whatsoever and I was comfy-cool all day long. NO THIGH RASH! Yay! (It's the little things, people...)


My last ensemble was the Summer Fun Girls Night Out.

What better way to bring in the summer, than with a cute pair of white pants?! Am I right, ladies?! But I'm not going to lie...white pants scare the bejesus outta me. I feel so vulnerable in them. Can people see straight through to my panties? What if I sneeze/laugh/cough too hard?
