Steece weekend fun

We had a great weekend with the Steeces! I will have to publish several different posts to record all of the festivities.

Many of you have been asking about their weights, so here they are:

Ben: 3 lbs 8.5 oz, 17 1/4"

Savannah: 3 lbs 1 oz, 16 1/2"

Drew: 2 lbs 13.8 oz, 15 1/2"

Ethan: 2 lbs 10.8 oz, 15 1/2"

At this point in time, the weights are not the best indicator of how they are growing, they fluctuate everyday...so we usually are not overly concerned with their weights right now.

Grandma Steece, Mom, and baby Ethan

A good friend of the fam, Nancy, with Ethan

Grandpa Steece with little baby Ethan (Ethan got lots of lovin' that night!)

Grandpa, Suz, Ethan, and Uncle ED!

Uncle DAN with baby Andrew

Dani, Dan, Joe, and big Ben

...BTW, the nurseries are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! Can't wait for you to see them! ;)

Oh Suz - Wish I could be there to touch their sweet heads. They are so easy to love. We went to a NICU survivor picnic yesterday with the Murray Quad Crew. Such a celebration - made me think about your miracles. We are so blessed and "4tunate". Hope to hear more from ya soon. The prayers are still headin' south for ya.

Congratulations! Your babies are beautiful.

Get as much rest as you can before they come home. Although, you look fantastic! Much better than I looked after triplets :-)

PS Glad to hear you aren't fretting over weights, they really aren't the big deal right now. Just so thankful on how well they are all doing. Can't wait til you get in on the bottle action, then they'll get the chunk factor. Wait to go Steece Fam!

How fun....pictures with the extended family! LOVE IT:)Maybe it's just the pics, but you look like you added some color to your hair. I like it... You put the rest of us mamas to shame bouncing back like that in just 2 weeks!
BTW, I'm sending off a package to you today.

Suz and Joe,

Congratulations on the birth of your four precious little ones! I am yet another person, who you don't know, that has been touched by your amazing story! It brings me such joy to see how God is working in your lives. Thank you for your transparency, humor, and giving hearts to allow folks like me to share in your journey!

I echo all the comments- Suz, you look AWESOME! And the babies couldn't be cuter!

A quick side note, our firstborn, William, came to us two months early at 3 lbs. 2 oz. He spent a month in the NICU (your pics bring back a flood of memories) before coming home to us. Well, he just turned two and, by the grace of God, is doing awesome...you'd never know he started life so small! All this to say, before you know it, these little guys (and gal!) are going to being running all over the place. And I look forward to reading all about it!

Thank you again for sharing your miracles!

In Christ,

They are looking so good! Before you know it they are going to be out of the isolettes and into open beds. Then they will get to co-bed. That was such a neat experience for us the first time I came in and the boys were in a bed together. I can't wait for you to get to experience that.

praying for your new family every day (love your blog). My prayer every day is for the shortest stay possible in the NICU. I have a nephew born at 24 weeks (with no warning)he was 1.5lbs and 11in long and was born 4/2/04 and he came home on fathers day and everything went very smoothly for him in the NICU. Be encouraged that your babies will come home quickly and healthy. They are perfect and beautifull!

Blessings to your family,
Melissa

Suz- I've been MIA from the blogging and e-mail world for a week now. Loved all the new pics, esp Kangaroo care. The babies look great!! We're all moved in our new place and Nate's an official Dr. now : ) Hannah celebrated #1 birthday- so weird our babies are just a year apart. Lots of exciting and exhausting times. Love you- Mo

I read your article in the Fort Worth Star Telegram. Congratulations. I have 2 1/2 year old twins. They were born at 31 wks 3 days. They were at Harris. It is a great place. I just wanted to comment about the formula. The social workers at Harris had me apply for presumtive SSI because one of the girls was low birth weight. It temporarily qualified her for SSI and Medicaid. While she had Medicaid we applied for WIC. If you have WIC it qualified her and her sister for a year without financial proof. It saved us a bunch of money on formula. We did not qualify for WIC finacially. I just thought I would share this info. It provide 10 cans of formula a month per baby for the first several months and then went to nine cans. Congratulations again.
