Guess What....

Guess who's sleeping on his back now (out of the blue bouncer)....

THIS LITTLE CHEESEBALL!!!!

Yaeeeeeeee BEN!

I started weaning Ben out of his bouncie seat several days ago...I would put him down on his back for his daytime naps...then one night, he was ready and slept alllll night on his back! I'm so proud of my boy! (it's the little things, right?!)

Next up, the three wedge sleepers! I started weaning them today! Should be interesting (lots of crying, but they eventually went to sleep! woo hoo)

Oh, new weights (I am amazed at how many people always ask me for the weights of the kids...so, here ya go!)

Ben, chunkin it up at a whoppin' 16.2 lbs; 26" long

Drew & Ethan both weigh exactly the same and are exactly the same length (those kooky little twins...) 15.13 lbs; 25 3/4" long

Savannah "wee one" (as I like to call her) 14.4 lbs; 24" long

Oh, another thing I forgot to post (that I've been asked about several times recently)...YES! They are eating baby food now! We've been putting rice cereal in their bottles (helps with reflux) for about a month and started baby food a couple of weeks ago.

We had to do cereal for our one of our twins. We ground it up in the blender and then slit the nipple a small slice. Do you do that as well?

  5. That little "cheeseball" is one freakin' cute little monkey. I want to step in line to marry that boy. Man oh man!! PRICELESS!! I am not even joking. How do not just eat their little faces off with all those kisses! I can't stand it...sometimes I could literally just eat up my kids!
What blessing right? Challenging b/c there are FOUR, but blessings for sure!!!

  7. Oh my goodness! That is so great about the kids eating food. Are you getting a feeding table? That has got to be the coolest thing ever and much easier to clean than 4 highchairs! LOL! So glad to hear that Ben is out of the bouncey and sleeping on his own. The other kids too. Is their reflux better and that is why they can wean off the wedges? The kids weights are sensational. Good Job Steece's !!!

They are the cutest things and they look so healthy. You are SO blessed! and I can't even imagine the fun of looking into four smiling toothless grinning faces! You are doing a great job! p.s. I just got my ACUtoday mag. in the mail and noticed your parents and you mentioned in there under "EXperiences"!

  27. That's great that Big Ben has decided to move out of the bouncer! Something to consider about adding rice cereal (i'm sure that you get plenty of unwanted advice. We added rice cereal to my daughters bottles and food due to her reflux (dr.'s approval), and she has issues with chronic constipation. As rice is binding, this seemed to make a "difficult problem" even more so. Unfortunately, I didn't not put these 2 things together until recently. Way too late to have benefitted my daughter. But I felt it was worth mentioning as I would hate for anyone to have to go thru the difficuties my daughter did just trying to "go".
Sorry for such a long post! I checking in one the family! hugs to all

Please elaborate on how rice cereal helps with reflux and when you started doing this. I have a wee one with reflux and would love some opinions to take to the pediatrician. I am at my wits end! Love keeping up with your kiddos! Whst a beautiful family you have!

  36. to the anonymous poster about reflux...3 of our 4 quads had really bad reflux. i'm talkin 5 ft projectile vomit--we were thanking God we had hard wood floors at the time! anyway we put them on Enfamil AR (ar standing for Anti Reflux) and it was AMAZING the improvement we saw. It has some rice protein in it so it's thicker.
None of them have feeding issues now that we've changed the formula. The ONLY thing i don't like about the formula is that it's alot harder to mix. you can't just shake it like others. I have a little formula mixer that i use and it helps unclump it. Hope this helps!

    Suz,

They are doing SOOOO GREAT!!! The reflux WILL get so much better. All four of ours had it REALLY BAD and these days I often forget it was ever even a problem(unless we have a week like the last one! GEEEZZ!).

I just wanted to say thank you so much for all the sweet words and worry. It was nice to know you were thinking of us through all the YUCK! I really did think I was going to loose it at one point. So, what did I do? I TOOK PICTURES, gave lots of hugs and kisses, and just tried to laugh instead of cry. Four sick toddlers is SO NOT FUN! ANYWAY, things are on the mend and life around here is getting back to "normal."

Thinking of you every day and LOVING the latest updates!
    Hugs from Cali,
    Gen :)

  38. Have you tried the AR Lipil? My 6 month old started spitting up a lot and we switched and it works really well. It is thicker and settles better. We do rice cereal and baby food with spoon too. Glad things are going well!

Is there a way to email you? I'd like to send you 4 playtrays for the bumbo seats if you don't have them already. I ordered one from Target and they sent me six. I'm giving one to a friend at work and would like to send you the remaining four. I tried to return the extra and they told me to keep them. Please let me know if you want them.. lisaryanrose at gmail dot com. ~Lisa
