Well...well...well...

Look who finally came around to the kiddie pool... (Ben, Savannah, Ethan)

THIS GUY!!!

We've spent the past two afternoons outside in our kiddie pool, Mama and ALL of her fishies (even Ben and Sav)! It has been SO fun! The tricky part is stripping down four dripping toddlers outside and herding their naked little bodies upstairs (while they are running in four different directions) for their nightly "group bath" together before they poop and pee on the carpet. Let me tell ya...it gets a little interesting at times! It's one of the many moments when it would be oh-so-nice to have 4 extra sets of hands! ;)

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

  3. What fun! We've been having fun "swimming" with our girls in our kiddie pool. Yeah, stripping them down and bringing them inside is a bit tricky ;)

    Have fun in the sun!

Yay! Ben did it! I figured he'd come around. He looks like he's having a great time with his best buddies.
I bet it is hard getting all the kids in from the pool to the bath. Just make it margarita time after the nightly bath. ;)

    Swim on Ben!

  7. Where did you get that pool? Adorable!! Hey - we were in Tyler last month and I totally thought of you! We drove with all three of ours from Phoenix and it could not have been a more perfect trip! We are hoping to move there in the NEAR future and if we do - we will have to meet up at that awesome aquarium in Dallas!

  12. i laughed at the image of four naked babies running around your house. i have had an experience with a baby who loves to run around naked that ended in poop on the floor!
    love the pics!

  13. your blog is so cute and your babies so sweet.
just wondering if allowing the advertisements on your blog is worth doing or makes much money? i've thought about doing it but not sure if it was worth it.

  14. Okay it makes me feel much better to know other people have the peeing after a bath problem. I always seem to diaper the wrong baby first and end up with a big mess.

I can't remember if I've commented before, but I've been reading your blog since your 4 were itty-bitty. I live down in the southern part of Dallas and had heard about y'all from a friend, and I'd started the process to help with the babies when we suddenly got an opportunity to go on a short trip to Africa. (We're missionaries.) After that I didn't want to expose them to any bug I might've picked up, but I have enjoyed watching them grow up via your blog. These pictures of the kids in the pool are so adorable and seem to really capture their personalities. I just wanted to say thanks for the smiles and encouragement you bring every time I read your blog. :)

  21. Adorable!

Suz, will the kids let you spray them with the water hose? I have 4 kids (although not at once) and we kept a bottle of baby shampoo in the laundry room. When they were done we would just lather them up and shower them with the water hose. Bath done!

I like the hose idea. I've done that with my 2 boys several times. Works great!

  25. Hi! I've been reading your blog for a while, and you're always an inspiration to me -- all of you triplets and quad mom's are, actually : ) I have 3 year old twin girls and when they being me to my knees I think if you all can do it, I can too!

Plus, your kids are so so so darling (love the photos) and your style of writing is always fun to read.

I do have a question for you -- if you don't mind sharing more, what sort of kidney stuff does Savannah have? One of my twins has kidney reflux and hasn't outgrown it yet. She just had her 'icky kidney tests too, and we're trying to figure out what our next steps are going to be. We're hoping to put off surgery until she's 4, and are looking at either continuing with her medication and monitoring for another year or doing the Deflux Injections. I'm trying to get more info on the Deflux and was just curious what you guys are dealing with.

    Our blog is:

I did a post a few back on the latest with Ella, if you want to check it out in your free time (ha).

Either way, thanks for sharing your days and being such a positive person!

way to go Ben!! I am glad he warmed up to that water thats always good for you and him. Now he can have a fun summer in the water with the other kids and now you can enjoy the water too and not have to worry about him being out of the water. :)

question...do you know anything about the Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship church where Dr. Tony Evans is the pastor? I have a friend who is wanting me to visit there with her and I would just like to know some more information about it before I go. Thanks!

  32. We spend lots of time in the kiddie pool too!! Is your water frigid straight from the faucet?? Ours is!! I've started filling it up during naptime so the sun can warm it, but it's still so cold. Just curious if yours was and if you did anything to help it.
