Its a Bird, its a Plane, its......the STEECE QUADS!

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned that the Steeces were going to be a part of something big and exciting...

Well...take a good look...can you see it on the right?

How about now?...recognize these precious faces????

The STEECE QUADS are flying high in the sky over several different parts of DFW! (Ethan, Drew with the hat, Savannah, Ben peeking over)

I knew WITHOUT A DOUBT that we have the absolute BEST BLOG BUDDIES in the world, b/c I quickly began receiving comment after comment- telling me that you had seen our quads off the interstate! It cracked me up to no end. LOVE IT! You guys rock my socks off. It is fun to know that you get just as excited as I do to see my little ones up in the sky!

We are MORE than honored to be a part of an ad campaign for Texas Health (primarily Harris Methodist Fort Worth)...for you see---I feel that I owe my life and the lives of my kids to the amazing staff who took care of us while in the hospital. So every time I see those billboards, it is ONE BIG THANK YOU, HARRIS METHODIST!---for your professionalism, for supporting us, and for loving us during the most intense time of our lives!

There is more to come by way of our ad campaign print---but you'll have to wait until they "go live" & I get the "OK" to blog about it...but it is AWESOME! Such a talented group of people working on this. Oh, and since many of you have asked- we are on 3 different billboards:

1) University Dr. N/O Park Hill Dr.
2) I-30 W/O Sandy Lane
3) I-35 @ 4th Street

After leaving the zoo and doing a billboard-drive-by, I was so excited...turned around to show the kiddies...and found this:

Awww! I fall more in love with my kiddos with every passing day. LOVE how all of their heads are turned the exact same way. Sweet little guys.

Can't believe that they are about to turn TWO next week (and that we were able to keep their carseats rear facing for almost 2 years!--despite their crushed little legs--but they didn't know any different) As as far as plans for their bday party?...um...yah...bad Mommy. With Savannah's surgery, I just haven't had the time or energy to go all out like I did last year. We are going to keep it low key with a trip to Waco and a follow up party with the Steeces. Still, we are looking forward to some good times and starting the TWO's off with a BANG!

  1. Congrats on the billboard! That is AWESOME!!! And WAY TO GO on extended rear-facing!! My little man is almost 22 months, and just about to outgrow the weight limit on his seat- the same seat as your kiddos are in. I am NOT ready to turn him!!

Seeing that billboard might be worth a trip down from Arkansas! Well...at least it might be a drive-by stop on the trip. God has truly blessed you with 4 wonderful kids. We do serve an awesome GOD!

Ethan, Drew, Ben and Savannah, can I have your autographs? How many people can say that their face has been on a billboard? Not too many, thank you. Congrats sweet babies. I can't imagine the hospital picking out any other children to do their advertisements. Can't wait to see more! I'll probably never get to see the billboards in person because I live way out in Denton County so I'm so happy your mama posted pictures of it!

  22. What an awesome billboard!
And go you for keeping the kiddos rear facing for so long. My 21 month old is still rear facing, and I get some interesting comments about it. How are they doing with forward facing, did it take an adjustment?

  30. Love the billboard! You're not only famous in the blog world, now. =)
It's wonderful that you kept your kids facing backward for so long! You wouldn't believe how many turn it forward ON their child's first birthday--- no matter their weight. I've even seen a 9 month old facing forward! =(
Glad you're excited about them turning two. Most people don't look forward to that, but two is my FAVORITE age. I even wrote about that in a post about my 2 yr. old granddaughter! They're so funny and smart at that age--- I LOVE it! Don't believe the horror stories about the terrible two's. Yours will be fine!

  32. so I am a total blog stalker that has a mutual friend in common, she went to Harding with you, who told me to read your blog many years ago (before quads). Anyway I was driving in FW the other night heading to dinner with hubs when I saw the billboard and didn't realize it was you guys until we came up close and I saw Savannah. I told my husband that I knew you and your family in a round about way and he just I think he's poor head is still spinning trying to figure out the connection. my email is blessedassurances@gmail.com, I will be happy to share the mutual friend's name with you there.

  50. I live right by the Sandy Lane board - was coming home Saturday afternoon and did a double-take -- okay, a quad take! I thought, OMG -- I know those kids -- drove back around to see it again. How totally fabulous! Love your blog......I don't have children (other than my Bichon Frise), but love the blogs.....have a wonderful day!

  51. My girlfriend, who lives in Ft. Worth (I'm in Ohio), called me yesterday to tell me she drove past the billboard...this was before either of us saw your post about it. She had to stop herself from saying "I know them!" to her husband...we like to pretend we're best friends with you and your clan ;) Congrats, very exciting!

  55. this is so crazy because I am from the north (DC) and been following your blog for about 1 1/2 yrs when my then roommate told me about it because her sister in law (jessica moore) went to nursing school with you. Anyways-- been following your blog, I am in Fort Worth for one week taking a teacher training course and visiting friends and who do I see on the road?! YOUR KIDS!!! I stopped my friend (who was driving) in mid conversation and said, " I KNOW WHO THOSE KIDS ARE!!" small world and so crazy! congratulations.. its a WONDERFUL billboard!

  57. I have been following your blog right after you started it, so in some weird but not stalker-ish way, I feel like we are friends. Anyhow, I live in Keller and go to school in FW and some friends and I were going to eat lunch over in the TCU area and I saw the billboard with the quads and just blurted out, "Hey I know those quads!" And then had to explain how I wasn't crazy and yes I "knew" of you, but have never personally met you, they all laughed and said I was a crazy stalker. I thought it was funny enough to share. I know that the blogs I follow I feel so personally connected to so many of them, however for people who don't know what a blog is, they all call us crazy, I call us friends!
