Alright, Alriiiight!!!

(LOL~ I must admit, I had a lot of fun teasing you guys! Nothin' but love for ya...honored that you would even care!) I actually went out and mastered all of our Christmas shopping for the quads in ONE EVENING! GOOD HEAVENS!....IT...WAS...FIERCE!!!!!!!! but what an accomplishment, right?!--didn't have time to upload pics before I left...but, here is the finished product: (who am I kidding, you aren't even reading this part---you're skipping down to the pics...but I don't blame you because I'd be doing the same thing!)

Tah-dah!!!

Answers to questions:

Do you like it?

YES! I LOVE it!!! I get bored with the same hair cut after about 2-3 months and I am always changing it...whether it be color, highlights, or cut. In my lifespan, I have had every trendy short hair cut you could ever think of. You name it, I've done it. I cannot "do" long hair "well". (Did you follow that?) My face seems to get lost in all of that hair---just does nothing for me. I feel "skinnier" with short hair--like I've lost 10 pounds! (wishful thinking, I know)

Needless to say, I was bored with the same 'ole same 'ole. I usually grow my hair out during the fall/winter, and then do something fun & feisty during the spring/summer. Well, I wanted to break that cycle and start the new year with a new, fresh do! And yes, I am fearless when it comes to cutting my hair! Makes me feel like a new person. Gives me energy. Those of you who are feeling "blah" and need a pick-me-up...I highly suggest a fun & fresh new do!

Does Joe like it? What was his reaction?

I warned Joe that he wouldn't like it at first (even before I cut it!---because I knew exactly what I wanted--I told him repeatedly that it was going to be SHORT, but that he needed to trust me! ha). At first, he was in shock and kept laughing---saying: "Suz! Its SO short!"...but by the end of the night he was loving it...just has to get used to seeing me bald! lol (Joe LOVES when I change up my hair and LOVES my hair short, but he is also not good with ANY type of change whatsoever) Fun fact: this is similar to the hairstyle I had when I first met Joe---when he fell in love with me. awwwwwwwwww

Where do you go?

I get my hair styled by Adil at Instinktive Hair Couture in Grand Prairie, TX. He is awesome! He gives the BEST shampoo with head massage, cuts my hair while it is wet, blow drys it, flat irons it, and then cuts it again when it is dry (texturizes it with lots of layers). AMAZING. Got my buddy Liz to start going to him as well. You definitely need to give him a try if you are in the area! Oh, and met a fellow blog reader today while getting my hair "did"---Hi Shelly! Nice to meet you! Crazy small world cracks me up!

I know some of you are out there looking for encouragement...stuck in a rut...feeling the holiday blues...but I tell ya: "Chop away, sweet friends!"---its good therapy for your soul! ;) And let me know if you take the plunge cause I'd love to see it!

  5. That is such a cute style! I'm the same way--never had hair past my shoulders, pretty much, because I get bored or frustrated with it. I love getting new haircuts and making changes every few months, but I have curly/wavy hair that doesn't lay quite as well with really short cuts. My husband is the same way--likes it short but is always wary when I call him and say, "it's really different!" Have fun with the new do!

  6. I totally agree!!! I do the same thing!!! i have a cute stacked bob now that actually needs to be shorter and it will be some 1/14/10. Once you find a good place to go stick with it no matter the price.

  8. Suz,

I'm a long time follower of your blog in The Woodlands! I've been following your blog since before the quads were born. I ran into it through a friends blog.

I'm graduating from SHSU tomorrow and like you I always feel the need to cut my hair...my sis thinks I need help! To me it's just hair and if I don't like it well it will grow out. I'm getting my hair cut in the morning and hoping to try something new too!

I LOVE it! I totally agree with you... there is NOTHING that can give such a big boost to your self esteeme than getting a new "do". I change my hair style every couple of years. I will let it grow to my shoulders, sometimes layered other times more of a bob..and then I will go get it all chopped off (even SHORTER than yours now), everyone always loves it, but ask why I do I let it grow out so often if I like it short so much... my answer...because it makes me feel like a new woman! and I LOVE that refreshed, lighter feeling too!

Thank you for being so brave .. you are an inspiration... a few pounds need to be shed for me and then i will check it out myself .. i def need a boost... It actually makes you look younger ... I also commend you on having a back bone .. I say that because I have several girlfriends who wouldn't cut their hair because of what their boyfriend/husband might say or think .. Thank you for being an independent thinker .. we need more women like that .. blessings to you ~kelly

  25. It's darling!
I've almost always had short hair because mine is very thin and fine.
My husband loves it short because he says it makes it easier to kiss my neck.

  26. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! It looks fantastic. I've had my fair share of short, long and trendy cuts over the years, but I would be so afraid it would look fabulous the day I cut it, and then I would get home and not be able to style it the same way as the professionals. You are such a temptress, now I'm getting the itch to cut my hair, but my hubby would kill me.

  27. TOTALLY LOVE it!! I'm at the other end, I'm now trying to grow mine back out... ;)

  29. You are a really pretty person anyway, but I feel like this hair cut is completely flattering look for you...I normally don't get totally short hair on most people...feel like it can be kind of gender-neutral, but this cut is awesome! feminine and flirty and flattering! You have the triple "f" going on! :)

The new 'do looks great on you! I, too, can't pull off the long hair looks. I've kept it short pretty much since a high school boyfriend told me he would break up with me if I cut my hair short. I know...crazy, but I love it short.

(P.S. I'm friends with Liz. And my mom helped at your house one night when the quads were first brought home. Small world, huh?)

  31. You can pull it off! You'd look good bald and in a trash bag. :o)

  32. It looks great! Short hair cuts must be in the air. Chopping mine back off tomorrow. Mixing up the summer hair in the winter.

I agree short hair makes you feel 10pounds lighter!

  33. oooh If i could be so brave!! I have chubby cheeks no matter what, so short hair I'm afraid would make matters worse! Thought I love your cut! and also how much happier you look in the pics of the new do ;)

  34. I dig it girl! FAB-U-LOUS! Love ya!

  35. GIRL!!! You look Fantabulous!!!! Nice work. :)

I am the EXACT opposite... I do NOT do short hair well. Last March I had grown mine out and cut 12 inches off (drastic much?!?!) for Locks of Love. My daughter goes "Mommy... Mommy... your HAIR. It is NOT GOOD. Put. It. Back. On." Husband, about the same reaction. So, we are back to growing out the locks. All to say, you do it and you do it WELL. And I'm a teensy bit jealous! Ha!! :)

  36. I do short better than long too. Mine is short at present, such fun having it really short, great as you said in the summer. I like it

  37. I love how your "after" pictures are so much more smiley than your "before"! ADORABLE cut, you sassy thang! Really, really cute. And, of course, the best thing about being a mom with short hair is how little time it takes to fix your hair in the mornings before assuming mommy duty - so you can be a non-frumpy, hipster mama!

  38. Very cute! You are one brave woman - the haircut AND the shopping in one night! Simply amazing!

  39. Great look! Because you asked, I just chopped 10 inches off my hair for Locks of Love =) Here is my post that I just finished today so check it out if you get a chance.
