Encouragement 4 MM Peeps!

I was completely SHOCKED at all of the positive responses, text messages, and emails that I received after my post about The Metabolism Miracle.

I’m absolutely thrilled that so many of you were able to relate to the symptoms, diagnosis, etc…and want a NEW normal. A better quality of life~ to feel great and actually having energy (while tightening everything up and getting those lab values back to normal)!

I would never post about a diet or product unless I truly believed in it 100% and y’all….this book and its guidelines will change your life. It has only been 4 weeks for me and I have lost at least an inch everywhere. And my favorite part has been losing 1/2” on my ankles and wrists! (silly, but exciting for me…I’ve always had wider ankles/wrists). And since pregnancy, my man hands never went away (I’m cool with it. It is what it is. I call it like I see it)…until NOW! Yippieeeeeeeeeee!

So stick with it and I’d love to help with any questions you might have along the way. Don’t be afraid to ask! Suzsteece@hotmail.com.

I made a Metabolism Miracle board on my Pinterest, full of recipes that I think would be great on this plan.

You could also join Miracle-ville, a community of people who are all in it together! (live chat, multiple forums, recipes, pictures, exclusive videos, blogs , the latest tips and Miracle news, etc.) I’m in there, look me up!

Something I was recently asked was: “What does a typical day for you look like?” (in regards to what I eat). So here you have it:

Breakfast: one piece of low carb bread (5g total carb) with an egg (An “egg-in-the-hole” on the skillet with butter! Yum) and 1-2 pieces of turkey bacon; coffee with sugar free creamer & Splenda

Mid morning snack: a heaping portion (you can eat as much "free" stuff as you want...things that don't count against you) of nuts~ pistachios, dry roasted peanuts, sugar cinnamon pecans (recipe from the book).....

Lunch: low carb tortilla wrap with laughing cow cheese, deli turkey, avocado, lettuce, black olives, etc.

Mid afternoon snack: string cheese; celery with cream cheese stuffing; raw veggies in ranch dip (any or all of this)

Dinner: yummy baked chicken or fish or steak or ground beef, sautéed veggies or a nice salad with cheese, sunflower seeds, black olives, green olives, avocado, low-fat ranch or balsamic

After dinner snack (right before you go to bed): cup of green tea and 2 peanut butter cookies (book recipe); OR a Lindor truffle (yes!) OR a Ferro Roche hazelnut chocolate! (you can have ONE- counts as your carb)

Middle of the night snack: 8 mini-club crackers (5g carb)…yep, if I wake up in the middle of the night- I get to eat a snack! (keeps the blood sugars level, instead of dropping during the night)

* and I drink all day long~ 64+ ounces of water (but I hate water, so I impregnate it with Crystal Light)

Totally doable, right? My body is just eating away at my fat and I have SO much energy! I'm NEVER hungry. NEVER. It sounds like a lot of work to constantly be eating----but not if you just stock your fridge/pantry and just try to eat something small every 3 or 4 hours. It becomes a super easy habit. I MAKE myself eat every couple of hours, as if I were "taking medicine"...in return, I’m NEVER hungry and always satisfied. NEVER too full or bloated. Never weighed-down. Always feel light, refreshed, and energized.

Happy eating peeps! Winking smile

I'm a long time reader, but I don't think I have ever commented. Congrats on the weight loss! It is always wonderful to feel better. Life is better when you feel better. I have a question. What would you recommend for someone who is on this plan when eating out? What kind of things should they completely avoid on a restaurant menu? Is there a section in the book that covers this area? Thank you and keep up the good work!

Thank you so much for posting this. I am stocking my fridge tonight and starting on this tomorrow. I downloaded the book over the weekend, and have been reading and making notes from it all weekend long. I have been following your blog since before you had your kids. Thanks again for posting this. I really appreciate it.

I started the plan yesterday! It's really not as hard as I anticipated as long as I plan ahead. It's all about having good options to choose from!

And what kind of bread do you have that is low carb?

Buying my book today and hoping to start this weekend after refilling the fridge! (But, truthfully, I'm kinda trying to start on my own anyway!) CAN'T WAIT! Thank you so much Suz, you just don't know! My husband and I are struggling with secondary infertility and, after two years of trying to have another baby with a miscarriage thrown in there and several expensive treatments that haven't worked, I'm praying this will be the true miracle we need!!!

Suz,
I just want to tell you thanks for your post. I had a lot of the symptoms you mention in the previous book about 22 years ago. I went to the doctor and he told me that there was nothing wrong with me. In fact he told me I was wanting something to be wrong. ALthough, I knew something was off. I found a book about low blood sugar and insisted on a glucose tolerance test and guess what after the first 2 hours the test was stopped because my blood sugar dropped to 24! After going on a low carb type diet I felt better and the hormonal thing cleared up. My mind felt clearer. I did slip off the diet for a few years and menapause crept up on me and I went back on the diet and have had good results. I really believe you are what you eat.nformsit

I have read the book, stocked my fridge and today is my second day.
I already notice a difference in my energy level. I know the book really talks about the first 3 days being difficult but I am not struggling at all.

Thanks for the sample menu, it really helped me come up with my plan.

Can't wait to see what the next 8 weeks bring for me.

So thankful that you are sharing this with all of us.

Hey there! I've been reading your blog for years, but do not think I have ever commented. I wanted to say a huge thank you for sharing about MM. I have just completed week two, and I am eager to see what the future holds for me on this plan. I am 35, am an ovarian cancer survivor, struggled with infertility, am overweight (ok, obese, but I HATE that word), and diabetic (was gestational diabetic and after pregnancy it never went away). I have never had success though I have given other diets and plans my all over and over again. Despite a healthy diet and lots of exercise, I still live life as an obese woman, struggling with harsh words and the harsh judgements of others.

God is good, and He has blessed me richly with 10 years cancer free, beautiful children AFTER ovarian cancer, a loving husband, and the list could go on and on. I am truly blessed indeed.

The very day you posted about this book, I called my husband at work to tell him about it. He sensed my excitement and had it downloaded for me by the time he got home from work (brave hubby, huh?). I devoured the book, and started two days later, after getting my hands on a paper copy. I'm a highlighter/under-liner!

I am two weeks in, and feel good. We were already eating a low carb diet, so I didn't have any severe detox symptoms which is nice. One of the hardest things for me has been the no fruit in Step 1...but I am powering through! :) I just need to seek out some variety for my meals so I don't get burned out.

For the first time in YEARS, I feel HOPE! When all of my previous efforts, and I mean get up at 4:30 AM for Boot Camp/watch what I eat/put everything I have into it efforts...well, when nothing was working, despite the fact that it was working for those around me, I was beginning to think NOTHING would work. Then came MM! I feel full of hope that this is going to make a difference for me! I am not insulin dependent, but take some other medication for my Diabetes. My sugars were under control, but I am hopeful that this plan will allow me to be medication FREE!! I'll keep you posted!

Sorry this comment is so long, but I just had to thank you! I live not far from you (Abilene), and I actually think I know several people who attend church with you...small world!

Anyway, THANK YOU! Keep posting about your journey, and especially any good recipes you find!

You have been blessed with a beautiful family, and I pray God continues to heap his blessings upon all of you!

Suz, My hubby and I are 11 days in. Not as bad as I thought, but the same snacks are driving us crazy! I have yet to find low carb bread, I have found wraps. We are also having a hard time finding 5 X 5 snacks that we don't have to make. Peanut Butter is getting old! Can you share some exact store bought things that you have found that fit the 5 X 5. Name of those crackers you mentioned. Doing this bc of you! You make a difference in peoples lives. Thanks! Stephanie

I've started this diet (and my husband has as well), and within three weeks, I've moved down one pant size! I couldn't believe something was actually working for me. After two children, I made it back to my pre-pregnancy weight with both, but was definitely not happy with where I was at. I wanted to lose at least 30 pounds to get back to where I was comfortable. I have to say, with this much progress within three weeks, I'm well on my way! I haven't stepped on the scale (and don't plan on doing so for awhile), but I can definitely see improvement, and my husband is now "complaining" that none of his shorts/pants fit around his waist :) Thank you so much for introducing me to this wonderful diet and these books!

I'm soooo bummed! Paid for the "lists" Diane had posted on her miracle-ville.com site and have never received them. Their email address for inquires given within my payment transaction is not valid. I reeeeally wanted those lists of brand names to make it easier.

I finally got my lists (she must have been super busy Ü) and it is truly amazing all the different things you can eat. I'm on week two and I've never had a diet been this easy....every. You were right on with never feeling hungry. I'm sooo excited to see where I'm at in six more weeks. That scale is calling my name...but I'll stay strong!
