Family Dinners Around the Table

There is nothing better than gathering around the dinner table, with the people you love, to enjoy a nice warm meal. This is something Joe and I implemented early on~ from the time the quads were wee little babes in boosters.

No cell phones, No TVs, No toys, No electronics~ just good old-fashioned family fun and yummy food.

Dinner time at the Steece house is filled with lots of laughs,

...funny faces (are we the only ones who go around the table trying to out do each other's funny faces?),

...and great conversation (have you talked to a six-year-old lately?...hilarity).

 

Family dinner time is the part of my day that I look forward to the most...

Well, not necessarily the cooking part. Sometimes Mama needs a break!

So when I was approached by BlogHer and Bertolli to review their frozen meals, I was ecstatic! I am always looking for high-quality, quick and easy meals for those busy days. 

I hit up the grocery with the kids and they helped me pick out some Bertolli meals to try.

I especially wanted to try Bertolli's new restaurant-inspired, multi-serve Rustico Bakes. They claim to deliver oven-baked taste from the microwave in minutes. I'm sold!

* Ziti Alforno

I also wanted to try a Bertolli Skillet Meal (Shrimp Scampi & Linguine) as well as a Meal Soup (Ricotta & Lobster Ravioli in a Seafood Bisque)

And let's not forget about dessert!

* Tiramisu

* Lemoncello

Sweet Ben was my little helper for this evening's meal extravaganza! (Each child takes turns helping Mom with dinner~ LOVE the special one-on-one time.)

 

 
On the packaging of each food item, it gives a suggested wine pairing~ very cool!

 

 

 

...don't mind if I do!

 

 

We had rave reviews all around the table! Each child liked a different entrée.
