Great Thanksgiving...good times

We had such a wonderful Thanksgiving...I was able to take Wednesday off and drove to Waco on Tuesday night. My mom and I cooked all day Wednesday...so much fun. I come from a huge family who all gather together in the kitchen and love to cook!--so it was neat to get to help my mom prepare Thanksgiving. (I've got a mean sweet potato recipe!:) My brother and sis-in-law from Memphis drove in--its always a blast hanging with them.

We drove to College Station for the 'ole game on Thursday night...we were out with all of Joe's family and friends and saw Reveille (aTm's school mascot) at the Wings N' More! That was pretty cool!
The student in charge of Reveille cannot leave her anywhere, she must be with him at all times...even if he is eating out at a restaurant with his family! The Ags played awesome on Friday (for once!) ;)..it was such a great game for us. Good times..

It's nice to be back home, I'm putting up all my Christmas decorations and listening to Christmas music (my favorite)!! I wish I could listen to Christmas music all year round! It puts me in such a great mood! SOOOO much to do between now and December 25!

Giardia

my poor little pup...she was hacking and throwing up foamy yellowish liquid (bile, i'm guessing) last week (which FREAKED me out due to her elevated liver levels)...

so, i took her in to the vet for her second round of labs earlier than her scheduled date. her liver enzyme was STILL elevated (even a little more than the last time)...HOWEVER, the vet said that from her stool sample she had Giardia (an organism that loves to hang out in stagnant water) and all sorts of organisms and bacteria in her body! as crazy as it sounds, i was SO excited! maybe THIS is why her liver enzyme is elevated! so, the vet put her on 2 antibiotics and a liver-friendly dog food. scary that shiloh is SO active, no change in diet, elimination patterns, etc....i never would have known!

p.s. the whole elevated liver enzyme thing scares me b/c we lost our first dog to liver disease and it was horrible! anywhoo...good news! (i hope) we will check her liver levels again after her antibiotic therapy.

p.p.s. so sad that i blog about my pup so much...she is my little child! ;) i can't imagine how obsessed i'm going to be about my human children! ha!

Rockets game

First Street Surgical (where I work) owns an incredible suite at the Compact Center where the Houston Rockets play. Last night, me and a bunch of friends got the entire suite to ourselves and had so much fun!

(The boys enjoyed the "Rockettes" who stopped by to say hi...I know what you are all wondering, and YES...my body WOULD look like this if I put on one of their outfits!! HAHAHA;)...well at least it is good diet incentive!)

my poor little girl dog, the Aggie

My poor precious little pup...she is an Aggie and there is nothing she can do about it. Yes, the Ags are pitiful this year...but we have fun at the tailgates nevertheless! Shi baby was a hit at last week's game!

Halloween 2005- High School All-Stars

Joe and I basked in our high school glory days at my work's Halloween party last week! The 'ole cheerleading uniform didn't fit quite as well as it used to!

It's funny b/c Joe and I just realized about a year ago that both of our high school colors were red, black, and white. What are the chances, eh? We had a great time!
