Well helllllo fellow bloggers!...sorry it has been a while since I last posted! I just loved Joe's post and left it on there for a while! ;) Also, I have been a very bad girl regarding my "house arrest" and spent the weekend in Houston with friends! (for the last time, I promise!) All of my buddies from H-town wanted to give me a shower and love on my belly! But don't worry, I took it extremely easy and I feel fine now that I am back home!...my one last hurrah... :(
I will post pics as soon as I get them downloaded.
Onto what you have been waiting for...WE DECIDED ON THE NAMES OF THE BABIES! It was very difficult and I have a funny story for you..but here they are:
The identical twin boys:
Andrew & Ethan
The fraternal twins:
Ben & Savannah
Full names are as follows:
Andrew Paul
Ethan Joseph
Benjamin Stephen
Savannah Leigh
We wanted to honor our fathers /grandfather with the middle names of the boys.
So, here's the funny story:
We had FINALLY settled on the names and felt good about it...Joe is ridiculously indecisive when it comes to important decisions! ;) but I love him for it. Well, while we were watching TV, it just hit me...
"Joe, do you realize that Andrew's name will be Andrew Stephen S.???" (wait for it....wait for it...) Look at what his initials would be! We laughed and laughed...
Arghhh! Needless to say, we had to do some flip-flopping around! But this is the FINAL list! ;)

You know I love them! Totally would've chosen all of those names for my own! I have to say, we are probably going to name our girl Audrey (if we ever have a girl), and we've thought about the same thing! No Audrey Suzanne S. for us! :) I'm glad you caught that before it became official! I'm glad you gave yourself one last hurrah. You deserve it, and are going to be so glad you did that later on.
Hahaha I just laughed out loud at the initials comment! You're hilarious. I'm glad you got to spend a good weekend with friends :) Those are precious names!!
SO glad you considered that before the name became official! Did you guys laugh like crazy? I'm sure we would have!
The names are precious. You were right--very classy and normal names.
One quick story...I worked at a school once, and we had a little employee newsletter that announced births, weddings, graduations, etc. Someone at our school announced the birth of his grandson Pimp'terius. Yes. I am not kidding. I'll NEVER forget that! That poor kid doesn't have a CHANCE! Maybe he goes by Teri?
That would of been awful yet hilarious at the same time:) I'm glad you caught that. I seriously love all the names too! I'm like Lauren I would of picked any of those names out for myself...very traditional and classy names. I can't wait to see those precious faces to go with those names:)
Savannah is one of my all-time favorite girl names! When I was pregnant, that was on my list of choices! They all are beautiful names! Where did the Leigh come from?
Corrie...that was one of the custodians at my former school you are talking about! Pimp'terius Deontrae and he went by Pimp!
We also have an S. last name and I love "A" first names..... we will have to be picky too! Congrats on getting it out of the way. I have no idea what we are going to name this one on the way!
corrie and cdj- you are KIDDING me about that "pimp 'terius" name! omg..that is just cruel! i chose savannah leigh b/c i thought it sounded pretty together...if i would have had 2 girls, i would have given them the middle names of kate and jane (after our moms)..but we only had one..so, leigh is random.
i'm so glad all of you like the names! :)
Classy and charming. There are hardly any of those around these days... GOOD CHOICES!!!(I love the Benjamin name--tears for my grandpa ben serphine...)
Always praying for your BAES and so glad you got to get one more girly girl time in.... Hang in there and just think, while everyone else is out in the blistering hot sun, you get to stay in the ac and shade... May not be your style but be lazy and enjoy it...Thanks for sharing as always!
I have been following your blog from which I came across on a friends blog. The names are so precious. Wade & I ran into the same problem with the initials while naming our little girl. Keep us all posted!! By the way, you look GREAT!!!!! Melanie
jo..one of the things i am going to miss the most is being able to go to the pool and eat popsickles by the pool, and be out in the sun! (sniff, sniff)
and with ben- i thought about uncle ben and cousin benji! LOVE that name!
Suzanne, I love the names that you picked...really classy! AND, I am sooo glad you realized the initial thing before the birth! My former name before marriage was Page Maria S. Do you see it?? Yep PMS!!! It is still a source of contention with my mom and I =) She promises there was no such thing when I was born, but I beg to differ!! So, anyhow, as you can see, I had to get married as soon as possible!! (j/k....although I was REALLY happy to change my initials when I got married!) Your son will thank you one day!
I don't know how you did it, but after my son's name (Adam), those are ALL of my favorite boy names. Seriously, they are my top 3 picks if we have a boy next. I love them!
And Savannah is a beautiful name, but my best friend has already laid claim to it, so I've never been able to consider it.
You guys did a great job!
LOOOVEE the names!
jenny in ms:)
I had a great time seeing you, Joe and the belly. I love the names that you picked, although I must admit I'm just a little dissapoint with the girls name, I just knew it was going to be Loracelly.LOL But I must admit I do love the name Savannah, that's my brother's daughter name.
Tell Joe hello.
Love ya,
Big lo and family.
i am in complete agreement with the above commentors- the boys names are also some of my top faves! my husband has an aversion to nicknames however, so andrew and benjamin were out for our unborn. (because, horror of horrors, someone might call them andy and ben.) He's funny like that. Hope you are enjoying your time at home! I recently became a stay at home (expecting) mom... and, i miss the social interaction of work! i worked in the nicu for years though, and it simply became too much.
Okay, hi Suzanne! I'm a blog stalker (coming here via Corrie). I just think you are wonderful, and my hubby and I keep up with your belly pics. CDJ is my sis-in-law. ANYWAY, we pray for you and the babes, and Joe, and I love the names. Ethan is one of my favorite names. I just had to comment to assure you the Pimp'terius Deontre story is 100% truth. I worked there, the grandpa of Pimp was our custodian, although I think he was a bit embarrassed.
I'm so glad we can pray for the whole family by name now!
Hello,
So glad to see a post from you. I was starting to get worried all the way out here in CA!!!! Happy to hear that you had a last hurrah of sorts with some friends and even better if you had a baby shower thrown in there!!! Isn't it fun to get stuff for the babes? Love the names also...Savannah is my favorite--I used to love the movie Savannah Smiles when I was growing up:) Hilarious about the diverted A.S.S
Casey
What great names! I love that they're classic names that won't go out of style. I'm also glad that we can start praying for the babies by name, rather than referring to them as the quads :)
Hey Guys!
Just wanted to add to your growing list of those who LOVE the babies' names. You made some wonderful choices that will NEVER go out of style!! Hope that things are going well for all of you. Take care!
Brooke in MS :)
suze,
LOVE the names! if we have another boy, we are cosidering Ethan! i love that name! how fun!
those are great names. i too am glad you discovered the potential hazardous situation for Andrew before it became official as well! i'm glad you got to have one last FUN hoorah before the bedrest. sounds like it was great!
looking forward to more updates!
Very sweet and classy!!
Whew! I'm glad you figured that out before the teasing began. I tried to explain to Ryan that initials that spelled anything were a bad idea. Like RAT...He never agreed, but Sam won't have to worry (SMT).
Oh, Pimp'terius! He must be 4 by now, right? And we all remember Shedrain, right? That's sh-dare-E-an for those that didn't know her.
Love the names! Now we can start imagining the 4 little ones futures and calling them by name! Adalie can't wait to meet Ben, Andrew, Ethan, and Savannah. I'm not sure when you exact due date but I think they will be the same grade in school as Adalie so maybe one day they will all go to Harding together and Adalie wants to room with Savannah!! -See I get all excited daydreaming knowing who they are now!! Well kinda.
Their names are perfect!! Let the monogramming begin! :)
I'd forgotten about the movie Savannah Smiles...I loved that one, too!
Every time I realize how exhausted and gross I feel, I think of you and remember that you've got a much harder job with quads than I do with triplets!
I love the names!
Those names are great! We are so excited that things continue to go well.
Praying for you from Indiana....
Hi! This might be crazy that I'm putting a message on your blog, but I heard about you from my friend in town. Jon and Stacy Stacy? They went to Harding and I found your blog through Jon's...his blog goes to Baby Max's...and their blog goes to yours. Okay...sorry if I'm not making sense. I just want to encourage you because I had triplets last summer. I weighed 105 lbs. before I got pregnant. I see from your picture that your small like me and I know what it's like carrying that many babies and being so petite. My babies did VERY well, though, and they are healthy as can be!!! :) I wanted to tell you, too, that I would love to talk to you if you want to...I know I didn't have four, but I was closer than most you know probably. :) If you want to e-mail me, my e-mail is annamorrow@knology.net. I would love to give you my website, too, so you can see my big, healthy babies. We are praying for you and your family. Love, Anna Morrow
