Suz's Haircut & 24 Week Belly Pics

So, if any of you are ever in Waco, Texas...you MUST stop by: The Cutting Edge and get your hair cut by DEBBIE! She is the BEST!--cut/color/highlights...you name it! I still drive home to get my hair done because its hard to trust anyone else...and because she does SUCH a good job! (Okay, okay..so I'm a little biased! Debbie and her kids, who are my age, have been close friends of mine for forever!)

Needless to say, my hair has been looking a little nasty lately while on bedrest. Well, Tuesday, completely out of the blue...I get a phone call from Debbie saying that she wants to come visit and cut my hair! HOW SWEET IS THAT?! So, yesterday, Debbie and her son, Eric, drove the 1.5 hours to where I live, and visited with me while she cut my hair! (She also left me with the cutest bag full of hair products, and an awesome neck wrap that can heat or cool to relieve tension in my neck and shoulders--AWESOME!) What incredible friends! Thanks again, guys!! It was SOOOO good to see you!

Debbie, sculpting her masterpiece in my kitchen!

Eric, enjoying a tasty treat! Now keep in mind, if you come to my house, my mom and aunt will immediately begin to offer sweets and drinks, etc.!

I cannot believe how high up into my chest, that my little belly ball reaches! I'll say it again: no wonder I can't breathe, I have terrible reflux, heartburn, back aches, shoulder aches, neck aches, and a new favorite...I cannot sleep AT ALL during the night. There is no amount of pillows (body pillows or regular) that can make me comfy. I toss and turn, get up every 1.5 hours to urinate, and spend the rest of my time trying to breathe through stopped up nostrils. Did I mention the intense swelling of my hands and feet--especially at night when my fluid levels are redistributing?FUN!!!

Going to the doc today at 10:15am. Cross your fingers for another good report and another week at home!! ;)

What a great day! You are SO loved! And the babies too. Your belly is mystifying, beautiful, magical and way to many adjectives to list here. You look gorgeous. I would have paid BIG money during my 6 week bedrest to have been able to find someone to give me a pedicure. I couldn't find anyone who would have made a house or hospital call. You are so loved!
I will be thinking of you at 10:15 this morning for 100% good news and another week at home. Rub your belly for me!
Take care!
Jamie

I am a friend of Tania's..she sent me your blog. Everyone here in Arkansas is praying for you! You look beautiful..I hope I look that great if and when we decide to have a baby or babies. I know you feel miserable with all the aches and no sleep, but you would never know it from your pictures. You are glowing!

WOW! Love the belly pics. Sorry to hear about the reflux, lack of sleep, stuffy nose, can't breath etc....Hang in there girl! Praying for another good dr appt.

Stuffy nose = horrible for sleeping!!! For me it's way harder to get comfy sitting than lying down.

You're lucky to have Debbie. Here in NC you'd have to settle for "Fat Charlie," the multiple personality, former make-up artist on Ricki Lake, former police officer, former employee of Great Clips, to come by and cut your hair in your kitchen. Seriously, he offered to cut Ryan's at home. I'd prefer not to have a psycho lurking in my kitchen - it's bad enough to run into him at the grocery store!

Looking great, Suzanne! That was so nice of Debbie! And I must comment on Eric's shirt-can't believe he still has that; is that considered vintage yet? Haha. Keeping yall in our thoughts in prayers!

love your hair! I'm the same way with my hairstylist...all through college I didn't do anything with my hair 'cause she was 4 hours away! Luckily, she's just down the street from me now!
Oh, and love the belly pic!

Suzanne, I found your blog through a friend-of-a-friend. Anyway, while pregnant with both of my children I got to that uncomfortable stage and I started to sleep on one of those blow-up mattresses that you get at Wal-Mart or Target. It was wonderful. There's something about the way it just conforms to your body that makes you more comfortable. Although getting up of off the floor was sometimes tricky. I also had a hard time breathing at night and my dr. told me to get some of those "Breathe Right" strips. They too were a God send. Couldn't sleep without those two things. Hope this helps. Oh, and I am praying for your bundles of joy.

I found you through Karen (My Perky Ovaries) and wanted to say that you look beautiful, and how lucky you are to have such wonderful friends. Congratulations on making it to 24 weeks, and here's hoping for as many more as possible to keep all four of your kidlets healthy and happy!

You look great! I can't wait to hear the update. I second what Julie from Alabama said about the Breathe Right strips. They weren't miracles, but they definitely helped. My other twin mommy friends swear by the egg crate foam mattresses, and if you buy it in twin size (about $10 at WalMart, etc.), you can also take it to the hospital with you. Hope you get some relief!

sounds like you have some really amazing friends.

and wow! look at that belly! have you thought about doing one of those belly molds? You just have such a perfectly shaped pregnant belly, it might be cool to capture that shape.

**UPDATE FROM SUZANNE**

Suzanne was admitted to the hospital today for possible preeclampsia (high blood pressure, protein and glucose in urine). Please be praying for them!

Sending huge prayers. Thanks for the update! I've been lurking for one. ;) Although it would be nice to be at home, I am sure she's in the best ever care in the hospital, if she has to take up residency there.

Sending love & support from CA!

Hey Suzanne, I read the news that you are at the hospital now. I know that you are in good hands. The nurses in that unit are as good as gold. I forwarded the information on to McMoms too. Please know that so many people are praying just for you and your precious babies and for Joe. Let us know if any of us can help.
Take care,
Jamie
