Fun in the Texas Sun

Wow! What a busy week! The quads and I left last Wednesday to go to Waco. I packed up the burb, top cargo storage, attached the hitch, stroller & cover, fed the babies, diapered, clothed, and loaded the quads one-by-one, grabbed Shiloh dog and hit the road..all by myself! IN THE TEXAS HEAT! The babies were perfect little angels--I truly believe that they LOVE their new carseats that were given to us by Joe's cousins: Pat & Sally! Thank you guys SOOOO much! Pat & Sally adopted two BEAUTIFUL baby girls from China and have such a neat story...go check them out on Sal's blog: tracypartyof4.blogspot.com.
In Waco, we visited Granna's school and Papa's bank, then headed to Austin on Friday--where we met up with Joe at Grandpa and Grandma Steece's house.

Quads with Dani... Sav, Ben (waving to the camera), Ethan, and Drew
Luvin' on Jess before we hit the pool for the first time!
Savannah with Uncle Ed...Eddy is coming to live with us this summer while he interns in Mansfield! We are SOOOO excited!
The gang in their cute little floaties! Ethan and Drew LOVED the pool...Sav & Ben had to warm up to it...but by the second day, had a blast! Lots of splashing going on...I am going to download some video footage...too cute for words!
Ethan just chillin' in his ride..."this is tha life"
Drew just giggled and smiled the whole time...check out that tooth!
Oh my gosh...so, we get this face a LOT from Ben! Cracks me UP! He cries/whines when we pick him up and he doesn't want to be picked up...he cries/whines when we put him to bed and he doesn't want to go to bed...he cries/whines when Savannah grabs his toys, and so on, and so on...Oh Ben...what in the world are we going to do with you, you cute little stinker???
Going for a beautiful Saturday morning stroll (or what we like to call a "sweat-fest" here in Texas) with Grandma and Grandpa (Drew, E, Ben, & Sav with Paul, Kate, Dan & Ed)
These are the new outfits that the quads will be wearing all summer...(YES! You guessed it...naked and loving it!) Sav, E, Drew, & Ben
Lots of loving from lots of friends---the quads ate up every second of it!
Love this pic of Big Ben
Why Yes, we DO have our hands full and we LOVE it! (Sav, Drew, E, & Ben)
Sweet little Savannah in her purple seahorse floatie...her legs never stopped kicking!
Me and my man...

I'm fighting a nasty cold/allergies/sinus infection, but I'm going to try to load some video soon...and we'll get back to answering those questions! Hope you guys all had wonderful weekends!!!!

Brave momma driving those four cuties to Waco!

What a beautiful family.

Great pictures - the last one of you and your husband is very sweet!

I noticed awhile ago that you use the same bottles I used for my twins - Avent. I stopped using them with all the warning about the chemical BPA but was bummed that I was out the money since the bottles were so expensive. Just wanted to let you know that Toy R' Us in some locations is giving full refunds for used and unused bottles.

I put a post up on my blog if you want more info. I'm guessing you have many many more bottles than I do! (And if you keep using the Avent bottles - who can blame you! You've got more important things to worry about - just wanted to give you the tip).

I have been reading your blog for about a year now and just realized that I think we live pretty close to each other. I shop at the target on 360 and we live on the west side of Joe Pool Lake (Mansfield side). I saw you said you have family interning in Mansfield! I teach at an Elementay school in Mansfield also. I hope to run into you one day at Target!
Hugs!

HI! I have been reading your blog since January. I have been a silent reader but totaly adore your family. I am now writing to ask if you grew up in Waco and if so what church did you attend (Crestview?). I ran into an old High School freind (we attended Lorena) who has 5 year old triplets. I mentioned that i read your blog and the Gewer family blog. She said that she thinks she knows you from attending church with you when ya'll were younger. Her name is kelli Furrer (Browder is her married name). If you are the Suzanne that she knows, than she wanted me to tell you HI.
Anyway I would love to met you and your family next time you are in Waco. My kids love the zoo too if you would like to met up sometime. I wish i lived closer to you so that i could help out with the quad. Reading your blog has inspired me to help future multiple babies born here in Waco.
Take care and God Bless,
Stacy Murphy

Stacy,
I'm sure Suz will contact you, but I wanted to say yes, our fam knows the Furrer fam quite well, especially her parents. And you are right, that is the church she attended.

Suz,
The kiddos just get cuter and cuter!

On a random note, in all your spare time...ha!, you should check out Angie's blog. Angie's husband Todd sings in the christian group Selah and they recently lost a child at birth. Angie originally started her blog to keep everyone informed about her complicated pregnancy. Her blog, however, has become so much more than that. She has an incredible way of relating God to every experience in her life. Her posts have become mini quiet times for me forcing me into a deeper relationship with my Lord. She is very honest and hopefully you'll fall in love as I have. Maybe some of your readers (since you have such a great blog ministry yourself) would like to visit her too. Anyway, even though I don't really "know" you, I thought it would be something you would like. Her blog is called Bring the Rain and you can find it at:

Thanks for the pool picks!

jill...TARGET!!! in the pool aisle! (the little red horn actually squeeked when you push it! very cool) the other floaties had a little area where they could splash with their hands which was neat--the kids loved it.

So glad you didn't think I was too nuts. Of course, now you might think I am since I checked to see if you read my comment...ooops! So, my friend Meggan (the gal I was talking with on the phone when I accosted you) might stake herself out at BabiesRUs now in order to meet you also. I'm the envy of my friends because I got to meet Steeces Pieces! :) I'm sort of joking, but sort of not...you really do have lots of fans!! Take care and if I should see you again, I promise to call you by YOUR NAME...NOT your BLOG'S NAME! :)
