Our Vacay to SOUTH TEXAS

It had been almost a whole year since the quads last visited their Great Grandparents! We have been itching to get back there (a 5.5 hour drive) as soon as we could! Here are some of my favorite pics from this past weekend.

The quads invading their Great Grandparents' home! (but I don't think they minded! wink, wink)

Savannah kindly sharing her "ketchup"

Little E getting some sweet sugar from "Suu-gah" (as Drew calls her)

The 3 "Stephens" and Sav (Benjamin STEPHEN was named after his Papa, Grandpapa, and Uncle Col--Steven Collin)

Lots of kisses! (E)

Ethan chatting with Sugar

Drew was more obsessed interested in his lawn mower than getting kisses (he later would not stop flirting with his "Su-gah"...he LOVES his Great Grandmother)

My sweet grandmother---love her dearly. (This post is bittersweet b/c my BFF, Gen McNulty just lost her Nani last night--please go send her some serious bloggie love)

Lets move this paartaaay outside, shall we? Aunt Susan playing with Andrew and Ethan in my Grandfather's BEEEEEAUTIFUL big backyard!

Mama with Drew, Grandpapa with Ethan, Ben, Sav, and Dadda (come on, guys--SMILE!--its not gonna kill you! LOL)

Benjamin and Savannah playing with their new boats

The twins are seriously OBSESSED with their lawn mowers--that will come in handy for good 'ole dad when they are older! Now they have 'em.......... (Drew left, E right)

.........now they don't (identical tantrums- OH JOY!)

Mama and Sav chillaxin by the pool

It was fun for my grandparents to enjoy the kiddies while they played in the pool...just everyday things they don't get to be a part of

A little pick-up game of softball. (not really, but it looks like it!) Mom pitching while the quads "man the field" (E at 1st, Ben covering 2nd, Sav at short stop- how appropriate, and Drew playing 3rd)---Daddy catching

Drew and Grandpapa

Lil Bud-E gettin' tired in Dadda's arms

My fairy princess "mowing the lawn"

Sav just LOVED her outfit from her Urech Quad Girffff-friends! (Thanks Misty!! It is TOO CUTE!)

My silly little men (Drew, Ben)

Saturday night we headed over to my Aunt Susan and Uncle Ronnie's GORGEOUS house in Boerne, TX. We had SO much fun!!!

Aunt Susan made us a yummy breakfast! (Drew, Ben, Ethan, Sav)

And Uncle Ronnie took us each for our very first ride on a tractor!

Savannah and Ben, waiting their turn

Our little "city kids" LOVED their tractor rides! (Drew, Sav, Ethan, Ben)

And we made it home safe and sound! PHEWWW! Our children are more than blessed to have their Great Grandparents in their lives---Papa and Sugar, thanks for letting us come play!

That is so wonderful that you guys were able to spend some time with the generations! Serious lifetime memories huh? Loved the fairy princess outfit on Sav! So sweet. My son LOVED his lawn mower when he was the quad's age. He called it his "nun nun".

Thanks for sharing your fun family trip with us!

So I knew you dressed Drew in stripes, but it looks like you've also assigned colors to tell your kids' stuff/pictures apart?? Brilliant!! =)

So precious!! You truly are blessed to have them in your life! There are so many days I wish my grandparents could be here to meet my precious babies...they would have LOVED them so much!!! I say that with a warm heart... not to make you sad! It is awesome that you are able to share your babies with so many who love you!!!
It is great that you travel with them like that. Do they do good at naps and night? Just curious.
You guys are great parents. I know it is tough!

Hugs,
Janell

What a blessing to get to know the GreatGrands! My little guy lost his GreatGrandpa (who he called GGPa) when he was 3...the pictures with GGPa and little Reese are some of the most precious I have.

Good for you guys, taking the time to make the looooong drive, and share family experiences like this :)

Looks like you had a wonderful time and they are so lucky to have so many people that love them so much! Is it me or have they all gotten so much taller! It's crazy. Are they having a growth spurt? They are beautiful Suz!

And one more thing I forgot to "say" earlier...I chuckled aloud at the title of this post because "vaca" in Spanish means "cow." And when I first read your post, I pronounced it that way, then realized you were talking about a "vacay" and NOT a cow! HA!!

Oh my gosh they are getting so big! I am glad you guys had such a great time! Miss Sav looks adorable in her bows (of course)!
