Before Granna headed home today, she treated us to the Rainforest Cafe in the Grapevine Mills Mall...it is such a NEAT place and SO fun to experience again through the eyes of my children.

I don't know if you are familiar with the Rainforest Cafe- but periodically throughout your meal, the lights flicker and thunder rumbles (as if you are in the middle of a tropical thunder storm)---it is VERY cool, but I was curious to see how the kids would do.
(Ben sat there frozen, Savannah's eyes were WIDE open, Drew was just looking around, and Ethan thought the lights were cool)

Here is a picture of little Miss and how her scar is healing...pretty big scar on such a small gal---but SO thankful that she had the surgery and is doing well!

I was driving on 121 behind a white SUV with a Texas A & M sticker on it and my 4 year old yells "Mommy, why does that car have 4 carseats on the back?" I glanced a second time and saw the quad stroller so I pulled up next to you, hoping you wouldn't think I was crazy, and YES! it was you. :) I immediately called my sister, we are both HUGE Steeces Pieces fans! Hope you had a great day!

Hello!
I am also a kidney mommy, but to a little guy that has a lower bladder obstruction (LUTO). It is a pretty severe case I guess you could say...in that his urethra is incompletely formed actually. We will have a surgery when he is 4 -5 correct that.
Right now he is on hemodialysis and both daddy and myself are testing to be donors for him. I just wanted to let you know I was praying for you fiesty little girl. It must be a kidney things...I've met MANY kidney babies at the hospital...they are born and bred fighters huh!
Thinking of you!
I pass the 'Rainforest Cafe' all the time when I'm at that mall. I always wondered how my kiddos would do with all the noise and lights. We may have to try it out! I think that on Wednesdays, kids eat free too!
What fun, I've been wanting to take my little monkeys there! LOVE the kiddos reaction to the "storm & lights" too cute~I'm afraid my Miss Em would have a fit!! ;)
Oh my goodness! I have been to that exact same Rainforest Cafe, most recently last Fall when I went to Women of Faith at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. We stopped there on the way! How fun. I love that place!
Glad all of the kids were able to go out together and have a great time. Poor Little Savannah's scar made me wince a little, but I, too, am thankful that she is on the mend. What a little trooper!
What a fun place to have coffee. Little ones scar looks great. Lovely to see everyone out having a good time
I am a long time lurker, first time commenter =] Love your blog...I think I read the whole thing from beginning in about 4 nights (stayed up nightly to read it, sad - I know =])
Glad to hear, your girl is doing well - continued blessings to your family. God bless
Wow - that looks like such a cool experience. Off course, here in Africa - nothing like that!
Glad to hear your little princess is healing well! My kids love Rainforest Cafe for the most part, except the thunderstorm. They then crawl into the nearest lap even at 6 and 9!
So glad Savannah is doing so good!!
I love Rainforest Cafe! Sav's outfit is perfect for your outing.
what a nice granna :) sav's scar looks pretty good for being so recent!
Savs scar looks good (yet big)..good to see it seems to be healing quickly!
I love the Rainforest Cafe! Landon didnt like it until he was about 3 though..he was petrified of the lights ans sounds! lol
Rainforest Cafe is so much fun. We have actually eaten in that particular one and I would love to take the kids back when we visit family in the area again. Glad Miss Sav is doing so well. That is a big scar on just a tiny little thing. Poor baby. Hope you guys enjoy the 4th!!
Hope Sav's scar continues to heal nicely.
My older 2 kids loved Rainforest Cafe when they were little. I tried taking my youngest when she was 4 and we got as far as ordering a drink and the rumbling and thundering started and she insisted we leave. I tried to pay for our drinks and the waitress told me not to worry about it. . .that happens frequently. She's now almost 8 and STILL whenever we head to Grapevine Mills, she reminds me she doesn't like that jungle place. tehehe
Okay, have to ask. Where did you get the giraffe stuff for Sav? And do you know if it's just a toddler line? My scaredy cat LOVES giraffes and would love those shorts.
I want to go to a rainforest cafe!! Looks like fun! So glad Sav is healing. Looking good!
we love rainforest cafe! sorry i didnt tell ya sooner, but they're website has a $10 off coupon right now too thru end of july!
Glad that God continues to answer prayers on behalf of your beautiful kiddos- but most especially w/ Sav right now. Fun times out and about, and in (w/ Liz and girls)!
So glad to see Sav is healing so well!
This is weird, since I don't even know you (but love the blog!) but my girlfriend is having a girl and is having a giraffe nursery, invites, diaper bags, ... EVERYTHING giraffes!
Do you know where you got that darling giraffe outfit? If you have time, I'd love to know!
