April Fool's Already?!

It seems as if God is playing a prank on us 'ole Texans! We had over 24 hours of non-stop snow! It was AMAZING! And don't laugh at us for being SUPER excited--this is the most snow I have seen in my entire life- dead serious. (isn't that sad?!) I took LOTS of pictures (and cute video) of the kiddies having an absolute blast in our front driveway. It is easily going to be worth the next few days of icky runny noses!

This is what I saw when I woke up in the morning...giddy as a little child!

I'm going to go ahead and remind myself that ETHAN was in BLUE pants and DREW was in GRAY pants (so in 30 years when I have no idea, I will be able to know!)

Happy Liddle-E

Sweet Savi showing me some snow

Adorable Ben----now he's happy...

...now he's not! ;)

Savannah didn't particularly enjoy falling either...(Ethan, Andrew, Sav, Ben)

Cracks me up that Sav and Ethan were eating snow the entire time!

Dying for a group picture---they were SO mad that I took them away from playtime (Ben in the middle of a cough)...okay, okay---go play!

Baby angel---mesmerized by the magical snow! (Poor Ben and his chapped lips!)

Mr. Smiley (Drew) having a grand 'ole time

Ben and Sav- staring at the rain gutter (?) no idea why they were so interested...but always together

The twosome again...both being VERRRRY careful not to fall! LOL

Eatin' more snow

I tell ya---full of life, this one. (Andrew)

LOVE this picture of Ethan! Such a sweetheart.

My little pink princess

...like a pack of deer: "what's that noise?"

Loved the massive "macaroni noodles" of snow that formed in our pergola

Night time at the swingset (and STILL SNOWING! even when we went to sleep!) The sky turned into a beautiful rose color--it was unbelievable.

This morning when I woke up...

Ma in her boots- trying to check for ice so Joe can leave for work! (tricky with a slanted driveway...thank God for 4-wheel-drive, or he'd still be here! Hahaha)

And my favorite picture---the trees at the end of our street and behind our house are just beautiful all covered in snow! What a magical couple of days!!!! The kids have been walking around saying, "Tank you, Godt for the beeeautiful sno" (precious).

Here's a quick video of giggles in the snow!

I guess its only fun for us southerners because we don't have to live like this for long! This has been a blast, but bring on that sunshine and warmer weather! ;)

Hasn't this just been CRAZY here in Texas???

Be thankful that you have power, and if you don't mind----include the TXU workers in your prayers, and pray that they get our power turned back on soon!!!!

Wow, that is a LOT of snow! Here in California we get a dusting once in a while, but you could really stomp around in that stuff! So cool! Glad the kids liked it.

Eeek - that is a ton of snow for Texas! I'm hoping it bypasses us in SC this weekend.

That is so much fun. Does your husband say it reminds him of home? I live near where he's from and we have perma-drifts next to our driveway that are almost as tall as my husband and I right now, so we are not so excited about snow, but I love to see someone loving it! Have fun b/c at least yours will melt soon...we'll see if we can dig out by May or June :)

The snow has been just beautiful and I have been right their with them saying, "Thank you God for reminding us of another one of your beauties". It has just been unbelievable and I have loved seeing it. Bring on the sun, spring and summer! Your friend in East Texas, Pam.

I'm jealous! I live in Utah, where it is supposed to snow! And we've only had 4 snow storms this year...there is currently NO snow on the ground, and we haven't had snow since probably before Christmas (or maybe right after). I forget that the quads are 2 1/2! Its so cute to hear them talk. Thanks for posting!

We don't ever get a good snow here in Memphis either, so we were excited with our 4-5 inches Monday that came out of nowhere!

Enjoy it :) We've gotten nearly 60 inches in a week here in Maryland. My kids are SOOOOO over it. But it sure is pretty....

Come on out to Alberta and you can see lots of snow and Banff National Park!! :) Love the pics! Your kids are adorable!

i think the reason ben and save were staring at the rain gutter is because they could see their reflections in the frozen water that came out of there. oh to see the world through the eyes of children! ;) --a

So glad the kiddos got to enjoy some snow. Every child should get to experience it at least once. I hope you told them about NOT eating the yellow snow. :) Your kiddos have got to have some of the most radiant smiles, they melt my heart and I don't even know them in person. :) Sherri
