We were actually in town for Independence Day this year! What a fun weekend spent as a family of 6: grilling out, watching fireworks from our backyard, and going on one-on-one dates with each child.
Here are our precious little dudes, getting ready for church. (Andrew, Ben, and Ethan)
Independence Sunday--- we met up with Uncle Col, Aunt Ashley, and Cousin Carter at church, then grabbed some good ‘ole greasy burgers afterward. (Carter, Ashley, Sav, Col, Ben, Suz, Ethan, Andrew, Joe)
Trying to get some cute pics in our red, white, and blue! (B, A, S, E)
Dad with his lil’ firecrackers: Sav, Ben, Drew, and Ethan
Our kids have been asking: “Mom, can I go to the doctor with you? Just ME?”…In an attempt to spend some alone time Mom. How sad is that? :( So Joe and I have been trying to take each child out by themselves, every week. Sav and Dad heading out on their Daddy-n-me date! You should watch this girl turn on the charm and bat those eyelashes when she’s around her main man. Hilarious. (Sometimes down right ridiculous). The little munchkins will turn THREE in less than a month!!! Terrifying 3’s?… BRING IT!
Sav, Ben, Ethan, Andrew
Mommy and her amazing, darling, handsome little men who can do no wrong. (That was for YOU, JK and G-Gen. tee hee)
Ethan, Andrew, and Ben with their leading lady--- we strolled around Petsmart, made a stop at an Aggie store, and then met Dad and Savi for a chips-n-queso happy hour at Chuys!
Fun times! Hope you all had a wonderful and safe weekend as well. We talked a lot about America and our freedoms. It was adorable to hear the kids walking around saying, “Thank you for our freedom.”—to all the amazing service men and women.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!

Sounds great! We just had a weekend at home for the 4th, too, enjoying each others' company and some of the holiday festivities!
I love the picture of all 4 of them! The one of the 3 boys is adorable, too! Best of buds, huh?
So freakin' CUTE!! I can just hear their little voices now! I love it!!!
Gah, your kids are too cute for words! I bet they just love the one on one time, great idea!
I love these pictures! especially of your three boys together with their adorable big grins! (wonder where that came from?);) how do you get those frames around your pics, btw?
Suz - not that my opinion matters at all... but I am SOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY for you! I can identify and appreciate your comments about working allows you to be a better mom, wife and person. Plus - is there a profession any better than nursing that allows you to care for someone else- helps keep perspective in our own lives and have compassion on others... I SO wish I had gone into nursing!
When I just had one - I still worked and while I LOVE staying home with all 3 now - there are times that I really felt I was a better mom - not just because I do need the adult social break but becasue my time was limited and I was WAY more intentional about making every moment count. I try so hard to make the moments count but struggle with the mentality that I am always here and always have time for that.
Congrats on the almost 3 year olds! The twins of mine are 6 weeks behind yours and I am just STUNNED at how fast (yet slow at times) these years have flown by. May God continue to guide you and Joe and bless you in this journey of parenthood!
PS... COULD that smile BEEEEEEEE any bigger?
Lees in Phoenix!
