As if December isn’t crazy enough…umm…the Steece fam will be on TV…
Yep, you read that correctly.
Its insane, I know…but we had a lot of fun doing it and I’m SO glad that I can finally tell my blogger buddies all about it!
What are the details?
Texas Multi Mamas airing on the WE channel, December 27 at 8/7p CST. A series about how six moms of multiples (2 twin moms, 2 triplet moms, and 2 quad moms) face the challenges of every day life and lean on each other for support.
Suz, Teryn, Casey, Candace, Tonia, & Stephanie
(A nice little tid bit about this picture…they wanted me to make Casey laugh, so I peered over Teryn and said, “Oh hey girrrrl!” Nice. creepy Suz! LOL)
How did this come about?
Last year, we were approached with a unique opportunity to tell our story. More specifically~ “How do you juggle being a mom to quadruplets, a wife, a nurse, a friend, etc. How do you make it all work?”
After much prayer and conversation, we thought the idea of sharing our life and the beautiful craziness that happens on a daily basis would be a fun, once-in-a-lifetime, experience.
Also~ it was very special to share this adventure with one of my BFF’s! Quad Mom Casey Gerwer and her precious family.
Me and Case, during the title shoot for our commercials and print ads earlier this year
What was filming like?
I had no idea what to expect, but it was a lot of fun. Despite what you might think, a camera crew is NOT living in your house and following you around, watching your every move, at all hours of every day.
Alex getting some good action shots of the kids helping us paint! lol
It was a series of planned events: play dates, girl’s nights, interviews, etc. Very scheduled and organized.
Auntie Liz, sitting for an interview in my house
The kids had a blast and got to know and love the crew as well.
Andrew practicing his mad skills with Big Ben’s camera
That’s a wrap! We had an awesome crew. Love them.
Some of our cast and crew on the last day of filming
What am I most excited to see on the television screen?
I am very interested to see the footage of Sav’s last kidney surgery on episode 2 (December 27). We filmed the entire day and I’ve heard that you will not be able to get through that episode without crying. It is really going to hit home- now that Sav is having issues with her kidneys again. (Boooooo)
We do not get to preview any of the footage until you guys do---which is a wee bit nerve-wracking, right?!
What was my favorite part of filming?
All of the fun activities with the kiddos! We had a blast and it will be so neat to see those memories captured on camera forever.
There are already commercials running on the WE channel which is absolutely crazy to see! Completely surreal to see yourself on TV…
I know that some people will watch and some won’t. Some will like the show, others will not- and that is okay! I will still be blogging like I always do. My blog will always be, first and foremost,~ our family journal.
Feel free to check out the WE TV Texas Multi Mamas website for other fun stuff: quizzes, cast bios, episode recaps, videos, etc.
(Candace, Suz, Tonia & Casey)
My video interview (some adorable shots of the kids and a good look into every day life at the Steece house!)
My cast member bio (a little write up about me on the show)
To my most favorite blogger buddies in the whole entire world who have been with me from the very beginning~ Happy to have you with me on this crazy, ridiculous ride!

Can't wait to see it - but more than that - I hope and pray that Sav is feeling better soon. Sorry that you are having to deal with it.
I saw the commercial last night and I thought about you. I was wondering if you and your family were a part of it. I can't wait to see it. Love your blog, it puts a smile on my face. Good luck with the show.
How fun!!! I have read your blog since before you had your children, so I will definitely watch! :) I enjoy your blog!!! Have a great day!
Can't wait! It will be great, Suz!! LOVE!!
xoxoxo
So excited to watch the new show! Hope Miss Sav feels better soon and the doctors able to figure out what is wrong with her kidneys.
Wow! How exciting! Clearly I don't really "know" you, but I feel like I do having followed your blog for so long, so it's so funny to me that I just told my husband, "my friend is going to be on TV" - hahahaha! I then had to say, wait, we're not REALLY friends, but I'm just as excited to watch as if you were my best bud :) I will be at my sister's house over Christmas but I will make sure our husbands hand over that remote!!
How exciting!! It almost feels like I'll be watching my friends on TV, even though we've never met. (I AM an Aggie, though! WHOOP!) :)
I cant wait!! CONGRATS! I'll be watching!
As a long time follower I am SO excited!!! You will be perfect on TV!!
Awesome!!! I can't wait to see one of my fave bloggie families on TV. :)
Wow!! What fun! Will be setting my PVR for sure...and will have kleenex at the ready for Sav's surgery episode.
Praying for your little girl.
OMW! I was watching Raising Sextuplets and the TV graphic during the show and immediately thought about you. I can't wait to watch.
Congrats - can't wait to watch! I am a mother of 3-year-old triplets from Ohio, and I have checked in on your blog from time to time ever since I found your post on the potty training weekend about a year ago. Yeah, I still have yet to start with my three. :)
OMG! I can't wait to tune in!:)
Oh, how exciting!!
I will definitely be watching!
One of my Blogger friends was on Bridezillas recently and I had so much fun watching her episode, lol.
Very excited about this. I have been seeing the previews. And I wondered if you and yours would be on. Can't wait.
Allison
Wow, that's exciting! The preview makes it look a little more "Real Housewives" than I was expecting lol
How FUN!!! :) I can't wait to see it!
....btw, I saw you at Target a while back. I wanted to say "hey girl!" but I didn't want to be a stalker! ha!
You have an adorable family! I love how yall love life.
OMG!! Congrats!! I cant wait!! As if your blog isnt funny enough we get to see some live tv action!!
How exciting! Hope I get to see you on tv!
Congrats-Can't wait to watch!
Hey Suz!
I've been reading your blog for a long time now, probably for nearly 2 years! (of-course I caught up with all your previous blog posts hehe)
I am amazed with every new post with all the amazing opputunities and life skills you give your children, I am sure that your life is crazy, but you are doing the most wonderful job!
What may be weird for you, is I am reading this from all the way in England! I live in a county called Essex, just outside of London, and I am a HUGE fan of your family! That'll be something crazy to think about, you have fans in England haha! This does unfortunatley mean that I will not be able to see your show that is airing :( so please please PLEASE post any links or videos of the show, because I personally would LOVE to see it! Thank you for sharing your stories with me, I am truely inspired to one day be, as good a Mother as you are!
Charlotte, Essex.
I think the craziest thing about your quad story is something I read on here forever ago: you did ONE DOSE (or one month or whatever) of Clomid! It's not like you did IVF and had four or more embryos implanted. That detail didn't come out in the interview excerpt, but it's something that has stuck with me as my husband and I enter our 9th month of trying to conceive. As we think about alternatives, having followed your blog gives me a sense of the impact that even low-key fertility drugs (Clomid, by most measures, is pretty low key) can have on our future.
Also, this is kind of funny, but the blog voice in my head for your blog never had a Texas accent! I grew up in Mansfield and my whole family talks like you do, so I don't know why I was surprised by that. :)
Good luck with the show!
how neato!?!?!?! sooo cool!!! i didn't realize your husband was a twin, i just figured his siblings looked extremely similar :)
OMGosh! I am so excited for you! I've been reading your blog since before the babies were born, and now to see them on TV, to FUN!! Now I need to find out if I can get WE in Michigan!
very cool! I look forward to watching!
AWESOME!!!!!!!
I am SO stinkin' excited!!!!!!! I can't wait to watch!!
WOW!!! How totally neat!! I agree with Charlotte, please post any links or videos of the show because, being in Canada, I don't get WE channel. I love reading your blog - so happy that you are going to continue with it!
This is so amazing! I sure hope the episodes will be online since I'm not local to tune in! I confess, I'm already teary-eyed just watching your video interview! I can't wait to be able to peek into your life and the other multi mamas too!
P.S. Ha! The word verification for this comment is "boringu." Well, I certainly feel like my life is boring compared to these multi mamas!
How exciting!!! I've been a long time follower and am thrilled that your story and precious kiddos will be shared on TV. I'll definitely be watching!
You have and continue to inspire me and I think this is a perfect opportunity for your sweet family. Congrats, congrats!
Absolutely can not wait! Love you!
How exciting! I have followed your blog for a while so it will be interesting to see this show now!
Bummer that I live in New Zealand, will have to keep a watch on the website and see if they ever show anything on there. It is always fun to do something on tv with your kids, we did a tv show about kids at different stages of growing in the 1st 5 yrs, the boys still enjoy looking back on it and seeing themselves all those years ago. A treasured memory
Super exciting Suz! Will this only be available to watch in Texas?
Is there ANY way Canadian can watch it. WE love your blog and would love to watch.
I can't wait to watch! I've been reading your blog for a couple of years and love the stories you tell. You have a beautiful family.
I can't wait for your show to start. I have read your blog for maybe 2 years now so I feel like I know you! ha! I watched a sneak peak and you looked so pretty! Can't wait to watch your family that I have been keeping up with for so long!
I am so bummed because I don't think I will be able to watch it here in Spain... {I haven't been able to watch your interview.}
If you know a way we can get to see it outside the US (someone from England also asked that), I will be really happy.
I've been reading your blog for almost 3 years or so, but I have commented few times.
OMg that is so cool!! I wish I got that channel! :-(
How exciting! I can't wait to watch!
Congrats on this adventure! you're a brave woman!! I hope they'll post the episodes online so those of us out of state can watch it. I hope you are pleased with the results!
Is this going to be available to watch online? I don't get WE TV :(
Soooo exciting!!
Yay! Congrats! I'm really excited and am going to set my DVR for this. Like other commenters said, I feel like I know you from following your blog so it will be like watching a friend on t.v.! Can't wait to see you and the kids in "action".
Absolutely love your blog. I am from Australia and have boy/girl twins that are 4 years old. Sadly I won't be able to see it here. Unless anyone knows of a way????
I just seen these previews the other night. I was wondering if it would feature any of the blogs that I follow. I cannot wait to see the show and will be an avid watcher for sure. Love your kids. Sherri
Hi Suz,
What a great opportunity! Sounds fab. I've been following you since the quads were about to turn 1 and feel like I know you so well- as well as a one sided friendship can be, lol! I've commented a few times over the years :)
Like the girl above me said, I'm in England too so the videos won't work here. If you do see any other links on youtube etc please let us know- your British friends would love to see you xxx
I'm so excited for you! I've been a fan of your blog for a long time, but I'm a terrible commenter. Can't wait to see the show!
How WONDERFUL! That is so exciting! Going to set my DVR asap. And... whether you're able to talk about it on the show or not, what an AMAZING way to witness to thousands of people what God has done and continues to do for your family!!! Exciting to see how He uses this new opportunity! Awesome! Blessings!!! (and shoot, just watching my wedding videos gives me the creeps... hope it is fun to watch yourselves on tv!!!!!!)
I wish we had that channel! Looks like it'll be FUN!
I am way excited to see your show. I hope you put reminders on your blog because my DVR won't let me program it this far in the future.
I'm also from Australia and haven't been able to watch your interview. I think if you post on youtube we'll be able to watch.
I've been reading your blog for so long that I don't even know how I found it!! I love following along with your family. You all seem so lovely and I do feel like I know you a little bit!
Can't wait to see you guys on TV if you can record and put it on youtube please I'll be so grateful!!
I can't wait to watch! I've been reading you blog for over 3 years, since we found out we were having triplets. It will be nice to watch my "friend" on TV! lol
Jill from MI
I can't wait to watch!!
Wow, Suz! What a ministry opportunity!!! (I'm from Houston and know DP and family) :). Can't wait to see the shows (I used to work at TCH w/ the Renal docs, so I'm also praying for Sav and her issues). One of my best friends recently had twins, they are 9 weeks old, and I'm trying to help in whatever ways I can.
The comments from all over the world are totally cool, too.
Wow how exciting! I have been following your blog since you were pregnant and have so enjoyed and learned a lot from you! I always knew you are a superstar - glad the world figured it out! So sorry to hear about sweet Savy. Prayers for this all to be behind her :(
Very exciting! I can't wait to see the show. I, like others, feel like I "know" you & your family by reading your blog. Prayers for Sav & for all of you as you deal with yet another kidney issue for her.
Another Canadian here wanting to see the show! I was able to find the "preview" on Youtube, but not your interview! Please, someone record the show and upload the show to youtube!
I cannot tell you how excited I am to watch this! I marked it on my calendar already and shared the link on Facebook! You're family is such a positive inspiration to our family. Congratulations!
Wow that is crazy, cannot wait to watch. Oh and how weird is it that there's a quiz as to what multi mama you are? http://www.wetv.com/polls/chart/data/2939-question-1.html Did you ever imagine you'd be on a quiz from your own tv show??
I am so excited I found your blog! I can't wait to see this show!
I am 10 weeks pregnant with quads and have enjoyed reading the little bit of your blog that I have gotten to so far.
I started a blog today,
http://themartins5.blogspot.com/
If you have any advice on anything or advice on where I can find resources for quad moms, I would greatly appreciate it. I am a little lost at the moment! But I know you are EXTREMELY busy, so if you have the time to get back to me, that would be great! I can also be reached at ellagracescloset@hotmail.com
Just saw a commercial for your show!! I am SO excited!!
Suz I have been reading your blog for a few years. And there are days that I go all the way back to the beginning and read again. Your family is just adorable and real. I love every post you have made :) I like to add that you all look AMAZING!! High Five! I can't wait to watch your show. I am a Texan, misplaced currently because of the military, but anything from Texas feels like home!!
Also...do you have an email for readers?? Thanks so much!
Fan from MN here! That is so amazing! I remember thinking back when I started reading your blog (before the babes were born) that you had a fun personality and wouldn't be surprised if you were on a reality show someday. What a fun experience! Looks like they are really pushing the DRAMA on this one. Can't wait to watch!
That is awesome Suz! I checked out the interview and you did sooooo good. How cool to see you on TV!
I've been following your blog for a long time and your attitude (and realism!) inspire me! I can't wait to watch y'all!
so fun!! i can't wait to see yall on television after reading your blog for so long!
excited to watch!! Hope Savi is feeling better!
i cant even tell you how i started reading your blog but i really enjoy it! last night i was up watching tv when suddenly i saw the commercial and recognized you! congrats and good luck from MN
Wow!! As a another mom of multiples (boy/girl twins who are 4) who live in the same area as ya'll... I had no idea something like this was in the works. Pretty cool.
It will definitely be interesting to watch. I saw a preview and saw one mom using her foot to "hook" a child from running out a store door. Glad I am not the only one who has used this maneuver.
Most of my friends have kids but there's only me and one other lady who has twins in my little group. Her twins are 14 though so its different.
Reading up on multi mom's blogs helps me understand and try to be a better mom. Looking forward to the show.
BTW!! If you know of any multiples clubs near/ around Arlington, grand prairie, mansfield, dallas, etc, I would be interested.
You can email me a link to kristi (dot)stone (at) gmail.com :)
Howdy!!! I'm from West Virginia and LOVE watching the show!!! It's awesome getting an inside view of raising multiples. I found out last week (after becoming addicted to watching) that my husband and I are expecting twins!!!
