Who Loves PINK???

SAVANNAH!

(just not in her eyes!)

yep...swollen shut!

but still smilin! (at times)

Last night I watched Sav's eyes getting red, but couldn't tell if it was irritation from allergies (seeing as how the quads have been snotty and congested all week)...but when I woke her up from her nap, her eyes were crusted shut and swollen! I immediately called the pedi to call in a prescription (keep in mind, we are out of town!) and within 15 minutes, little Savannah had her first dose of ophthalmic antibiotics and is feeling much better!

Just praying the others don't get it! Conjunctivitis is HIGHLY contagious! (Oh, and the pedi said that she will probably end up getting ear infections because they usually go hand-n-hand!...NEATO!) Needless to say, Mama has been disinfecting and washing hands like crazy!

Life with quads...never a dull moment! (Can I getta "AMEN", quad sistas?)

  7. Just so you know...Life with triplets isn't exactly a walk in the park :)
We had conjunctivitis while on vacation as well and boy oh boy... it was ROTTEN!! I had no idea how hard it was to get drops in 5 babies eyes... And your peed is totally right, the ear infections come right along with it. I was so thankful that our peed was willing to call in Rx's as needed. We must've called him every single day while we were gone...
Sending well wishes to you all!!

  12. I always read your blog but have never commented. I was reading this post and decided i should say hello and let you know that we are going through the same stuff at our house. My little man has pink eye too and an ear infection. No fun at all!! He started the drops on Friday evening and is already looking a ton better. I hope Sav gets better soon....and I pray she doesn't get any ear infections. C'mon, isn't having just pink eye bad enough??

  15. Poor Savannah! And you! At least she still seems to be in good spirit. I'll pray that the ear infection goes away quickly. My one just had her first serious allergic reaction a couple of weeks ago and I freaked and practically ran to the German emergency room with the swollen child in her carrier. German doctors were like the most stern librarians I'd ever met and they looked kind of annoyed when I hysterically shoved my baby in their arms. I miss the warm fuzzy helpfulness of American doctors...

Oh dear! I remember when I had that as a kid and I LOVED pulling off all the crusties - was that too gross to share here?

I guess Sav isn't quite old enough to get to enjoy that yet?

    Hmmm...

  33. I was driving back from Missouri (6 hours) with my 18 month old and 3 year old. The 18 month old cried the entire time she wasn't sleeping - and it made me think of you - I was about to go crazy with 1 and I don't know how you did it with 4!! You are superwoman - God knew you had enough patience for 4 and me only 1 ;)

Aww Pink Eye.. that's the worst! Just a lurker here, but I think you're family is just beautiful. So blessed! I'm newly pregnant, a little over 10 weeks. I know you don't have a ton of spare time, but I'd love to hear your thoughts on some baby products that "worked" for you guys. What kind of bottles you preferred and the things you had around that the babies just didn't enjoy. I figure you must know almost all of the tricks!

I hope all is well in Texas.. we're freezing here in WI!

  35. Aww, poor Sav. I love those drops! They work so well. It's a battle to put them in, but so relieving. I'm glad you got a RX filled without having to go in. So cool! Sending healthy vibes your way!
