Walking with My NEW Shoes!

The quads have never tried walking with shoes (I know, I know...). Its just that we haven't been able to take them out and get them fitted and try on shoes, etc. I can't really get out of the house, etc, etc (excuses, excuses, right?) Well, I went rummaging around in the closet and found these awesome Crocs that Joe's Aunt and Uncle gave the quads last year! I thought they would still be too big for the little rascals, but boy was I wrong! (couldn't believe it!) PERFECT FIT!

So, I had a blast watching them walk around this morning with their new shoes. Cracked me UP! They did SO much better than I thought they would! Took to the shoes like it was nothin...

Ethan and his green shoes (when color coding things, I adhere to E=GREEEEN, Drew=Blue)

Ethan and Ben (excuse the crazy morning hair)

Again, CRAZY morning hair on this dude...ALWAYS! (Andrew)

And I love the retro 70's unsnapped button...trying to show a little chest hair. (This camera angle is really weird...makes him look like he has no legs!)

Hands always up by his armpits when he walks...hilarious "little old man" walk.

Benny Boo Bear...a droolin' mess.

Sister trying out her hot pink duds.

Getting centered on that wall and about to take off!

  10. They all look SO cute in their "new" shoes! I can totally relate with trying to get out & get 4 kids fitted for shoes. I LOVE finding things that I tucked away, it's like having Christmas all over again!

  15. I can't help but wonder if a manager would let you guys shoe shop early before a store opens and a ton of employees come in. Of course, then there is the fear of other germs lurking around.

  16. Yay! Love it! Crocs are a lifesaver for Aidan in the summer. They just opened a Crocs Outlet Store here & I just told Steve last night that we needed to go there for the quads...now I KNOW we are going there! Too darn cute! Look at little Miss Sav...she's one darn cute little walker...I tell ya!

SO CUTE!! They look so grown up.
We have been having to buy shoes for trey and reids issue. I know they are super expensive but stride rite has a thing on line where you print out their measuring scale that they use in the store and can put teh kids foot on it and see if they are narrow, regular, wide and also the size length wise. Then i purchased the kids shoes off zappos.com because its free shipping and its cheaper than the stores. I think anyways. We got trey new balance shoes. The cool thing about zappos if you need to return, they pay for shipping. :)

  21. I love Sav's pink crocs!! Too cute!
Childrens Place has itty bitty sunglasses and flip flops (with elastic backs so they don't fall off). We always stock up on those, super cheap too $2.50 each!

  24. Preschoolians have an easy online show measure. They also used to have deals for twins and more. We haven't gotten to that stage yet here but soon. The shoes are fabulous and have a window for peeking to see if they are growing out of them.

  25. I'll have to get my kiddos crocs this summer! Too cute!

I didn't get my twins real shoes until they were about 16 months...it was winter when my daughter started walking and she surely wasn't doing that outside in the snow and ice. Then my son didn't start walking till 18 months. so we just waited for spring and then finally got them some stride rites. It seemed to be good too as they were old enough to know what they were and super excited about them! I never had to fight to keep their shoes on them...they loved them!

  28. we love our "chooooos" as we call them around here! the kids go nuts for them. if it's meltdown city, i just say "should we put on our shoes?" and they perk up immediately! granted, then i feel like we should go outside or do something worthwhile for all the effort! we got ours for a steal at the stride rite outlet here in cypress. truly love the crocs on your kiddies, so very cute!

  32. They're so darn cute :-)

Have they discovered the joys of stomping in shoes?? My girls (just 2 weeks older than your kiddos) love to go STOMP STOMP STOMP (usually standing in place) when they have shoes on.

  36. They are beyond cute!! And can I just say you shouldn't make excuses for not having shoes on them. It is actually better for them to be barefoot. They use their toes to balance a TON when they are first walking!

So you are actually a GREAT mom for not putting shoes on them! ;D

  41. Hi, I have been following Your blog for a while now but have never left a comment. Your babies are sooooo adorable. I love reading updates about Your cute little family. My name is Cortney and i'm from Mississippi.

  42. We LURV crocs in our family, too. Both of my children like to wear theirs backwards... the first pair we got for our daughter was so big on her that in order to keep them on she had to wear them backwards and now it's just natural for her, thus her baby brother has picked up the habit! When someone corrects eitehr of them they get the "Excuse me, but who do you think you are telling me what to do?" look. Priceless!

  43. Oh my gosh, I haven't checked in for about six months I guess, these are little people now, not babies!!!

WOW WOW WOW - I am completely blown away by how much they have grown.

    They are all simply adorable!
