Where do I begin???

(get ready, I was kind-of verbose...hadn't written in quite sometime...so lots to catch you up on!)
Well, I can officially say that Joe and I are moving from Houston to Arlington!!! (right between Fort Worth and Dallas). Joe got a GREAT job offer with a distribution company called Mouser, in Mansfield, TX. (right below Arlington) He will be in management for the first time (which I say, "good luck, kid!" I'm just SOOOOO excited to get OUT of management!!!)

This is the paragraph where I go off on my "management tangent":
I am not a political person at all, and I'm very REAL, like what-you-see-is-what-you-get. I am not good at playing "management games" or being fake, and sadly--I feel that this has become a great deal of what I have been dealing with in the last couple of months. The part I LOVE about management is being an advocate for my employees! I am all they have to stand up for them regarding upper management and the doctors. I LOVE my employees and am so protective of them. I am nervous to see what happens after I leave...in a way, I feel like I am letting everyone down and will miss everyone soooo much...but I have to do what is best for my family.

I apologize for being such a bad blogger! I haven't even been reading all my blogger buddies' blogs, so I feel completely disconnected! :( It will get better, soon...things are CRAZY right now!

We will move all of our belongings up to Arlington on Thursday, July 20. We signed a 6 month lease in a crappy apartment that is half of what we are paying now--so we will be saving money like crazy for the next couple of months. We are not even going to unpack anything--keeping it all in boxes! No decor, no nothing!...Talk about SLUMMING it! We wanted to get to know the area before we jump into house buying...but we are almost ready to EXPLODE from living in apartments for the last 4 plus years! I will return to Houston to finish out my last week of work (last day being Friday, July 28) and will stay in our furniture barren apartment all by myself (with Shiloh, of course!) I just wanted 1st Street Surgical to have enough time to find someone that I can train before I leave...That last week is going to be extremely hard for me.

I'm probably going to get a job at a nurse staffing agency that employs nurses and sends them to various hospitals/surgical centers that are understaffed. The pay is great and I can make my own hours and choose what days I want to work. This will help me get to know the area and what hospitals are good before signing on full-time or part-time to a place I know nothing about.

Now that we are finally seeing the road God has for our immediate future, Joe and I can begin to think about starting our family soon. We just needed to know where we would be and to make sure that I would be covered under insurance, before I got pregnant! So...we will start trying in the next few months! ;) (cross your fingers)

That's about it for now! Keep us in your prayers as we go through all this moving mess and change! My husband is not particularly fond of change WHATSOEVER, but I kinda like it. I embrace change and try to make the best of it. It's exciting!

Pros to moving to Arlington:
-we have great friends who live in Dallas
-my brother and his wife plan to move back to Arlington within the next 12 months! I can't WAIT to live close to my brother and sis-in-law! I miss them so much!
-I am only 1.5 hours away from Waco!!
-I will get to work part time and won't be in management!
-Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor are right down the road! yae! (I love roller coasters!)
-we will be able to save lots and lots during these next few months (I'm a saving fanatic, it excites me!)
-we will FINALLY own our first house
-we will hopefully start our family and next chapter in our lives here! ;)

That is great that you are going to be so close to family. It sounds like you are going to be able to help Joe adapt to change with your positive outlook. Good luck in the move but keep blogging!!!
