BUSY little Bees...and MANY THANKS!

Joe and I have been busy little bees this weekend, putting some MAJOR gifts together! We must thank some wonderful people who are very special to us.

First of all, an anonymous family from church GENEROUSLY donated an activity table to our family! They had heard we were needing one and stepped in to help. Amazing. You know who you are and we just cannot THANK YOU enough! The incredible generosity of the human spirit continues to amaze us every single day. We are blessed beyond words to have such loving people around us. May God bless you and your family.

Once we figured out where we were going to put the table, Joe assembled it in no time. As of now, we have been able to keep everything "quad-related" upstairs which has worked out great. We are constantly re-organizing and moving things around to fit the kiddos needs as they grow.

They looked so cute at their table! LOVED it! Joe and I kept giggling at their tiny little fat legs under the table (if there is such a description)...adorable! Drew, Ethan, Savannah, Ben

I am SOOOOO excited about this table. I cannot tell you how much it is going to help! These activity tables are PERFECT for multiples! Thanks again, big-hearted anonymous family! ;) We appreciate you more than you know.

On to our other project this weekend...as we, mothers of multiples, like to call this stroller:
"THE BEAST"

IT. IS. PHENOMENAL.

Once again, the generosity of the human spirit is overwhelming. Joe and I had been trying to decide if we could afford a Runabout Quad Stroller, and low and behold, several people came through to help us in a BIG way! A HUUUUUGE thanks goes out to the following families:
Bench fam, McDonalds, Hansards, Hursh fam, Armstrongs, Owens, Spelmans, Jennings, Doug, Lynn, Masseys, Wolfes, Harris fam, and the Budas!

You guys are AMAZING and we couldn't thank you enough for this fabulous stroller!

I am so serious when I tell you that this bad boy is incredible! I just took a friendly jog around the neighborhood and it is so freakishly easy to maneuver! Much easier than our double strollers (as crazy as that sounds) and just as long! Don't get me wrong, our double strollers are great when there are two people...but now I can take the kiddos out all by myself and I am SOOOO excited!

As you can see by Ben's face...he is excited TOO! We thank you so much and can't wait for you to get to love on these little ones! Not tooooo much longer! ;)

That is quite the gift giving...what a blessing! That is so awesome. They are getting just too big too fast! It seems like yesterday (to me) that they were still in the hospital. Wow...so adorable and such happy babies...that multiple table and the stroller have got to be lifesavers!! What a neat thing to be given...

Suz - I am just a regular lurker and soon to be mom... of just one though, haha!... but I am curious what video camera you use? Looking for something relatively easy and your video quality is great! Thanks!

What amazing people you know. That table is SO cool...I always wanted one, but with only two it didn't seem worth it. Have fun and God Bless.

My mom is the director of a daycare/preschool center and when I am home on breaks, I sometimes help out in the infant room. They have one of these tables (although it fits 6) and I also crack up at the little legs dangling beneath the table. Have you found that "the beast" attracts more attention than double strollers? Our neighbors that have triplets had one of these strollers, and I know it attracted a lot of attention for them. Hope you're enjoying your new quad gifts!

I agree with Jodi...I LOVE people who are so generous and giving! What a blessing!

"A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed." Proverbs 11:25

You guys are getting such a GREAT blessing with those amazing gifts, but God will certainly bless those who were so generous to you.

Suz, how adorable are you?! I love how you just had QUADS like 7 months ago and are struttin' your stuff in cute little shorts. You're adorable. : )

SUZ!!!!! YEAH
And the blessing keep coming don't they!?! Amazing....I LOVE seeing the kiddos at the table. It is a little surreal. I just can't believe they are almost 8 months old. Please give kisses to all until I can make it over to do it myself.

Was that activity table a "toddler table?" I ask because my father-in-law was the inventor of those back in the 80's. If it isn't a toddler table it is a knock off....and they are great to have with many kids. In fact when my husband found out I was reading your blog he said, they'll need a 4 seater toddler table.

What a really cute post. I got such a kick out of the video...especially seeing the legs poking out from under the table! How cute.

It is such a blessing from the Lord how so many people have come together to help you all out! I was blessed just reading about others' generosity....I can't imagine how great it must feel to be the direct recipients of that! Enjoy your two new goodies, as I will continue to look in and enjoy your babies! :-)

Reading your stories are such an awesome reminder of God's amazing faithfulness. It is so encouraging to read that you have needs and God has provisions for those needs. It really calls me into the reality of who God really is and what He wants to do in our lives.

Adorable kids! I know you are super busy but wondered if you and other multiple moms could share some info with me. First: does your quad runabout fit in your suburban or did you get the hitch? Second: do your kids sleep thru the night or do you still feed them in the night? I have 7 month old quads and they have yet to sleep thru the night. Let me know if you have found something that works for you guys. Email any responses to me at rossquads@hotmail.com
Thanks for any tips you can share.

Love the table! That is perfect for 4 babies. So many people just love your babies so much, they want to help out any way they can. I have a funny story about The Beast. I know a woman who has triplets and has a beast of her own. She was taking her girls for a walk one day and stopped at a little convenience store to buy some water. She happened to have the sun cover over her beast at the time. So she pushes the door open (to the store) with her bottom and starts pulling in the beast with her triplets. The guy at the counter thought she was pulling in an ironing board. LOL!! He was so confused but then saw there were babies under the "ironing board". I crack up just thinking about that story.

Looking at your children just makes my day. Seeing those big smiles makes me smile.

I have a random question...how are you going to document your pictures for each of the babies? Are you doing scrapbooks or just regular albums? We're currently trying to figure out how we want to do this and I figured you probably have thought about it. So just curious!!

Suzanne said...

molly- a wonderfully incredibly talented woman named jodi who works with my dad, made me a scrapbook while i was on bedrest. she left empty spaces to put pictures and four separate sections each month to write what each quad is doing...or, sorry to say, but the quads probably wouldn't have a baby book! and because there is only one girl, i'm guessing one of these days it will go to savannah.

Anonymous said...

Your so sweet for replying to my question!! We're here in the metroplex too and I like to stay updated on your blog. What a great solution to keeping up with 4 baby books!! Is there room for all of your pictures that you take or do some of them stay on the computer?

Your darlings are so cute! I am laughing to myself right now cuz I was looking at your Runabout photo and thinking, what are those blue bars across their laps? Ours doesn't have those. But now I am vaguely remembering some spare parts that we were left with after putting it together and I totally remember those things and tossing them aside like who know what the heck these are! (We're not too big on reading instructions apparently) If you don't have the sunshade/side panels accessories - I think they are a huge help to keep the babes well shaded. And the hitch connector for the back of the 'burb is wonderful - I've taken mine to the grocery store all by myself thanks to that gem. Hope you guys are doing awesome - we're excited to get together with you sometime very soon!!

Just curious...what is your daily schedule with all those cuties? I'm sure you have to keep things organized and rolling with 4 wee ones. If you already did a blog on this, I can't find it and would just love to know!!!
I read on the Gerwer page that you had all of 'em sleeping through teh night at 4mos. My first was by then too, but I'm struggling with #2. He's 4 1/2 mos. and is still waking twice. I dunno what to do!!!!!
