Savannah's Fishies

Thank you all SO much for the kind words and prayers! Sav's test went much better than the first go 'round! Now, her father will tell you that it was ALL because of HIS presence this time! Ha! Okay, so he patted her chest while I gently rocked her head--team effort...but the true life saver was this little dear:

I don't know why I didn't think of it the first time! Savannah LOVES her fishies and she goes to sleep with them every night. See the video of the first night Sav experienced her "aquarium" (when she was only 5 months old)

She finally cried so hard, she passed out while watching her little fishy swim back and forth with the music playing. WHEW! Poor baby girl! We will know the results a week from Monday! Thanks again for your prayers--we appreciate them more than you could ever know.

It is tough seeing little ones go through pain. Especially when they don't understand it yet. Thank god it went better. We will keep you in our prayers.

Well, I'm glad it went better than last time. Although the thought of her crying herself to sleep while they did her test makes me sad. :( I hope the results are okay.

So glad that this round went better. Our youngest had a lot of testing done right around the 10 month mark and I remember how horrible you feel as a parent. That there is just nothing you can seem to do. Many hugs to you on that one.

Tehehe. . . we had the first generation of that toy -- I see it still makes that squeaky sound. Not sure how babies go to sleep with it, but ours loved it too. Loved the video of Sav watching it.

That is so cute, how long did she watch them before she fell asleep? Maybe this is a stupid question.. but why did they sleep on wedges? Should all babies sleep this way, or was there a special reason yall used them? First time expectant mom questions....

Hi, my name is Sloan. My best friend in the whole world has a link to your blog. Her sister went to Harding and I'm guessing that's how she knows you. Anyway that is how I found my way to your blog. I have become a regular reader. LOVE your blog. LOVE your little Steece's Piece's (the title I voted on, by the way). I have never posted a comment but finally had to say, You have a beautiful Family!!! You guys are so precious. So positive and uplifting all the time (not to mention hilarious). I always look forward to checking your blog b/c I know it will make me smile. So thank you. Thank you for the smiles and the inspiration to be positive when I'm having a hard day with my little two I have (8 and 4).
Love your precious smiling babies!!

We're praying for Lil Savannah!
That fish toy looks hypnotizing, I don't blame her for loving it! Our "baby crack" that works for us is ELMO dvds. Has saved us many of times int he past and I don't know how mother's in the "Ole" days kept their sanity without the latest modern technology that we have now.
Keep us posted about the beautiful little doll. Love the pics of her in the blog below!

I ran across your blog from a friends and I just want to say I am hooked. I love reading about your family. You guys are so cute and so brave. I live in Las Vegas and I am a stay at home mom. Reading your blog makes me feel like I can do anything. I figure, if she can stay sane with 4, I sure can with 1! Thanks for letting me peak into your world!
