Last weekend, my father successfully pulled off a surprise party for my mother and her twin sister, Judy! I must admit, it was SO much fun to be a part of...these are easily, the 2 most important women in my life. Not every gal gets to grow up with 2 moms! Happy Birthday (today), ladies! I LOOOOVE you SO much!
Judy plus Jany = 120 years of life!
Did someone say birthday cake? (oh no...here we go again!) Ashley, Sav, Ben, Drew, Ethan
Ben munchin' on some delicious cake! (and I mean amazing--some of the best I have ever had!)
Savannah (sporting new glasses and a new haircut- by yours truly) getting some help from Auntie Ashley
Andrew is SOOO happy to be eating cake for the billionth time this month!
Seriously, E? He stayed in this position for about 5 minutes---just giggling to himself...I was laughing so hard I was crying.
Ethan- covered in cake...so proud of himself
The twinks checking out some of their old pictures that were scattered around on the tables.
One of my favorite pics of all time! LOVE. IT. (I would say Mah on the left???)
Mom and Dad celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary on Saturday (the day of the party). Happy Anniversary, you two lovebirds! SO blessed to have you as parents!
Mama and her kiddos: Collin and Suz
I was super nervous cutting Sav's hair (to chop off all of the baby hair)--but it turned out pretty cute! She has a feisty little stacked bob in the back with longer layers in the front.
No, they don't look alike---not at all...
Me and the original twinks! These ladeeez took care of me the entire time I was on bedrest---I tell ya, no one can cook like them! I LOVE me some good 'ole Southern, down home, Judy and Jany cookin'!
My handsome bro
Uncle Stoney and Cousin James
"Asss-lee, Cah-tah, and Unca-cah"
Me and my BFF
Sweet Mrs. Murphy (my 1st grade teacher) and Sassy Sav...it was such a great turn out of close friends and family---thank you to EVERY one who came to love on the twin ladies! And a special request to remember the Hall family in your prayers.
Uncle Stoney with his book-ends (Andrew and Ethan)
All smiles! (Ethan and Andrew)---Its a workout- isn't it, Stoneman?
Love it. Carter and Ashley...PRECIOUS little baby boy!!!!
Silly, silly Benny Boo---aka, my KOALA---LOVES himself some Mama piggy-back rides.
Cousin James playing around with a wiggly Drew
Update on Savannah:
My little "Pirate Princess" (that's what I tell her she is) LOVES her glasses and wears them all the time with no problem (well, at least after the initial shock wore off--but that's a whole 'nother story).
For 2 hrs every day, Pirate-Princess-Savi wears this eye patch and doesn't even mess with it. I also ordered the Princess Poster that you blogger friends suggested and it is such a neat idea! Thanks so much!
Miss Thang (who was less than thrilled to be back in the OR waiting room at Cook Children's Hospital FW) had another surgery on Monday to remove the stent that was placed during her kidney operation in June.
Even with the "happy juice", Savannah remembered where she was and started screaming when she saw me walk out of the preop room (only 1 parent was allowed back there with her). I was bawling as I walked down the hallway to the waiting room, while listening to my baby scream all the way to the OR. (yes. I could hear her. it was ROUGH.) It doesn't get ANY easier. In fact, it gets harder and harder every time. This is my little girl in recovery.
The first thing the doc said when he met with me postoperatively was, "Savannah wasn't too happy with us back in the OR. I think she remembers this place." (no kidding)
He said that the procedure went well...but that she was most definitely going to need a THIRD surgery--(Ureteral Reimplantation Surgery)--this time on her LEFT kidney, in December. This is a completely different surgery than the Pyeloplasty that was on her RIGHT kidney. Ugh. poor baby girl.
Savannah was pooped out and had a pretty bad day when she got home, but she is feeling MUCH better now! Thank you so much for your prayers.
LOTS to blog about! The quads' 1st Major League Baseball game last night; the Print Ad for the hospital...we have been one busy family!

wow your blog is sooo cool!
So Savannah's "baby" has a medical ID also - glad all went well -
I so enjoyed the visit on Sunday afternoon.
Tell your Mom and Aunt Happy Birthday from me or maybe they will see this !
So glad that all went well with the procedure, glad little Sav is doing better.
She is absolutely PRECIOUS in her new glasses. Too cute!
More surgery? Ugh! But those glasses are cute. :-)
I hardly ever comment but I am a faithful follower. I just had to comment on how adorable Sav looks in her new glasses!
Wow, poor Savannah! But she looks so cute in those glasses! :-)
Fun party!
Sav's hair and glasses are just PRESH!She looks older Momma!
I like the idea of the poster!
Glad her surgery is done, but hate to hear she does have to have another one. Bless her lil' heart!
Oh my poor little miss Diva. Let's hope after December this will be a distant memory and she will forget all about it. Love love love the pic of Ben in the piggyback pic. I see where your kids get their good looks. It's in their genes. Thanks for the update, I was worried about the Diva. L
I can totally understand Ethan's passion for cake! There are times I want to just sink my face in a big 'ole slice as well!
So glad that Savannah is doing well after her surgery and adjusting to her glasses and patch...I had to wear glasses from the age of three until I got contacts in middle school. Then, believe it or not, in high school my vision (which was so bad that I had bifocals...I was far sighted) just corrected itself to the point where I no longer have to wear any corrective lenses. (I also had a lazy eye and astigmatism!) So, you never know!! But, since the hubby has really bad vision (in the 400s) we are both pretty sure baby Brayton will be wearing glasses as well!
Poor Sav, hospitals are no fun but I'm so glad the surgery went well.
Ethan is so stinkin cute with face in the cake!
OMG, your entire family is just beautiful, Suzanne! I'm so glad you got to celebrate with two very special woman! And poor, Savannah! I have been praying for her (and Mama & Daddy!). I love that her baby has on a hospital bracelet too! I will keep praying for your Angel! Love ya!
I LOVE Sav's in her glasses - though they make her look soooooooo grown up - I can imagine how that must make you feel!
I'm glad that she's feeling better, it totally sucks that she has to go through so much in such a short amount of time.
Your mom and aunt are SUPER cute - can you imagine the twins in 60 years?! hehehe
Sav's glasses are adorable and you did an AMAZING job on her do! Maybe I should come visit and you can cut my hair! LOL Pretty far drive for that, though!
Hopefully, your baby girl won't need any more surgeries after this next one. =)
No wonder you ended up with double twins! I'll bet your mom and aunt eat those quads up!
The birthday party looks like it was an absolute riot. Sav looks really cut in her new do and glasses (You did a good job Mom). My heart ached for you when you talked about leaving Sav in pre-op. That is such a hard thing to do. Thank you for sharing.
God Bless,
Mimmy
Im glad someone else has an Uncle Stoney...I thought I was the only one! You don't hear that name very often:) Glad the surgery went well...and I loved the pictures from the birthday party...my mom is a twin too!
Well, happy birthday ladies! Looks like loads of fun!
Save, SO precious in your new spectacles! LOVE EM! And, I'm praying hard you're feelin' better little sista!
I had to wear the patch when I was little. I was probably 5 years old. My mom paid me 25 cents per hour that I wore it!
Looks like everyone had a blast a the party. Happy Birthday to your Mom and Aunt!!!
I'm so glad that everything went well with Sav. She is a beautiful girl. God bless her.
Poor Sav! She looks cute in her specs though and I'm glad that is going well!
I have to laugh at all the party and cake talk! A friend of mine was in town this past weekend visiting from out of state and I got word that she'd gotten engaged and another friend was having an impromptu get together so everyone could see her. We couldn't find a baby sitter on such short notice, so we just took all 3 lil ones. We told my 2.5 year old twins we were going to a "party."
Well, we stayed an hour or two and needed to get going b/c the baby was getting tired. When I told the twins to say goodbye, Sarah said "No! I don't wanna go! Where's the cake?" At first I was "Huh? Cake?" and then I realized b/c I said it was a "party"...she expected Cake! LOL!
what a lot has been going on. savannah is just adorable in her glasses. i'm glad things are going well!
Glad all went well with Savannah. I waited till I was 37 to have a surgery like she had. I had years of UITs & kidney infections. Glad her's was got early.
Also it's an honor to share a birthday with 2 wonderful women.
Keep on blogging & I'll keep on reading.
LOVE Sav's glasses! She looks adorable!
I love all the pics...poor Sav. She looks so pitiful, but so adorable with her glasses and eye patch!
You are so brave to cut Sav's hair! I would be totally shaking and mess it up! Love her new glasses! How do you keep them on her? Gavin would NEVER! LOL And didn't you mention way back when that one of the twins (ethan or andrew) would have to wear glasses?
Since when does 40 + 40= 120? Suz, you need some serious Math tutoring! Honestly, they do not like a day over 40! And that picture of them together looks just like YOU! LOVE Sav's new glasses...little miss professor!
fun, fun, fun!!! That's a word to describe you guys!
Happy Birthday to your "moms"!!! In that old black and white, you look just like the both of them! Wow!! I love the picture of Ben on your back! He wuvs his mama! Sav is beautiful with her new glasses and hair cut. And of course Drew and Ethan look adorable too! Glad Sav's 2nd procedure is over. You can tell in that picture of her in her carseat that she has HAD ENOUGH!

Sav looks stunning with her glasses and new haircut! And your mom and aunts picture from way back reminds of you.
Hi- I have been reading your blog for awhile! My 4 month old has brachy and needs a band. Funny enough I saw you all pictured on CT website. Did you use the one in Dallas? I wanted to know if you had any opinions as Star Cranial was recommended to me though Children's Hospital. I needed to make the decision by Monday and I am leaning (okay more than leaning!) towards CT. Any advice for me? Thanks so much!
Girl you are great! That's all I needed to hear! THANK YOU!
So THAT'S where your beautimous smile came from!
Awesome job on Sav's bob-job, Suz. She looks so cute in her little glasses. Good stuff.
Love you,
Moni
Sav's hair cut is so cute. It is so hard to hear your child crying for you especialy when you know your helping them in the long run. Nothing breaks a mom's heart more than hearing her child cry.
Love the princesses hair and glasses...that girl has got it goin' on! I could just squeeze me some Steece boys cheeks...such little studs they are.
I also love all of the family pictures, your family looks so happy and so loving...I know where you get it from.
You are beautiful as always girlfriend!
I meant to ask..does your aunt have a daughter and do y'all look alike?

Saw the print ad this week. Y'all look so great! Hope poor Joe didn't feel left out. ;)
I didn't know your mom was a twin! I absolutely love the old school pic of your mom and her sister!
Sav looks amazing in her glasses! She is a trooper!
BYW...you look amazing as well!
Miss ya!
Kelly
Brave little girl! Good luck with the healing and upcoming surgery! XOXO
Wow, we just got glasses for our 15 mo old little girl on Wednesday! And she is adjusting really well. So thankful! She is very farsighted and her eyes were crossing. We have already noticed a difference. So glad Savannah is doing well! She looks absolutely adorable!!! This was an encouraging post to read, so thank you! And Page, thanks for your comment as well!!
Just catching up on reading blogs and so glad to hear that all things are going well. Sorry Sav is going to need another surgery :( My daughter spent lots of time in and out of dr's offices and hospitals as a baby and she still remembers those places when we have to go back (she is 4 now). I will be praying for all of you guys. Funny thing, I went to high school with Ashley.
