Holy Quadville, Batman!

Jumping right into our weekend in Houston with the Goerlichs...

We arrived LATE Thursday night and unloaded the peapods into the nursery where the G's were already fast asleep! Finn and Cohen woke up and just stared at us- not moving a muscle. It was SO funny (and remarkable)! Mari wasn't lying about her kids being able to sleep through anything!

This is what the breakfast table looked like every morning- Chris and Mari were INCREDIBLE hosts! (Can you even begin to imagine what Octomom's house will look like?! LOL)

Savannah, naturally, gravitated toward a babydoll

Seriously- these two get stuck on the same toys---anywhere they go. Andrew= a vacuum or lawnmower. Ethan= any type of car. And they will be completely entertained FOR HOURS!

Cohen picking Savannah up for a date in his classy ride

I would love to tell you that Ben was helping Finn onto the tricycle...but sadly, I do not think that was the case.

That's more like it! Just a couple of buds ridin' down the street together.

Sav picking up some pals for a friendly stroll around the neighborhood

I mean seriously?! Welcome to the "Steelich Daycare Center." (Steece-Goerlich, get it? or Goerleece? I might be on to something here...)

G-Quads on a cow at Lupe Tortilla (our FAV place to eat in Houston!) Sophia, Finn, Noah, and Cohen

Here's the group, playing in the sand at the restaurant (where's Ben?)

Off by himself on the other end of the sand pit

Sweet Mare---I love her so much!

The Quad Dad Dudes: Chris and Joe. We are SO incredibly lucky to have such amazing and supportive hubbies/fathers in our lives!

Just melted our hearts to see Savi and Sophie in the sand---playing together

That's quite a lap-full, Mari Dawn! (Sophia, Noah, and Finn enjoying some yummy queso)

I'm pretty sure that Drew enjoyed his popsicle more than anyone!

This pic is for all my friends out there who know how hard this was for me! (seriously, cringing! LOL)

A sweet shot of the kiddies sharing and playing in bed one morning

Silly little Sav

Look how precious this girl is! Sophia, we would love nothing more than for you to become a Steece one day! hee hee

and I love some of the pics that Chris took of Savannah. Here are the MANY DIVERSE faces of Savannah Leigh Steece: (and yes, folks- she DOES smile!---but only on HER terms!)

I gave the G's some good hair cuttin' tips one day while all 8 kids received some much-needed haircuts!

Great pic of the group, walking to the park...parents with coffee in hand. (The Goerlichs have a coffee machine that is freaking amazing, btw!) I mean, this looks normal, right?

The G quads were kind enough to let us borrow one of their wagons...

Ben didn't mind the close quarters!

The Steecies swinging...so jealous of the park by their house!...a kiddie wonderland!

This group shot in front of the pond, just melts me! (Sophia G, Cohen G, Sav S, Finn G, Noah G, Ethan S, Andrew S, Ben S)

Mari's friend, Joann, was sweet enough to come over one night so the parents could get some refreshing "adult time" out and about with the rest of the world. How sweet is that?! Thanks a heap woman! It was lovely!

Another breakfast around the quad table

Chris, Mari-- I just had to put a picture of the Crazy Bird in here! This dude cracked me up to no end. He flies into their window---every day, trying to get into the house! He goes to the front of the house, the back, the side windows, etc. Hilarious!

More fun times outside in the absolutely GORGEOUS weather! It feels like we have been stuck inside from the cold for a VERY long time...(go ahead and snicker, northern folks!)

Playing together at the sand table

Hey guys!

What are you looking at?...

...that would be Chris, on the fence, trying to get a cool shot! (I LOVE this picture, btw)

Kisses------the Domino effect! Sophia: "Dad...is this okay?"

Ben kisses Sophia

Sophia kisses Andrew

Andrew kisses Cohen

Cohen kissing Savannah

Sav kissing Cohen back

and Finn trying to pull Ethan's face closer so he can kiss him & steal his sucker (I have never seen Ethan more freaked out! haha)

Such a GREAT weekend! We love you guys SO much and can't wait for the next sleepover at the Steece hacienda!

Hugs and Kisses from Joe, Suz, Ben, E, Drew, and Sav

LOVE this post! Looks like y'all had a great time in Houston. It's awesome that you have such good friends who have something so amazing in common (quads with the same number of boys and girls). It will be so neat for the all the kids to have such close buddies as they grow up and on into adulthood. Smiled the whole time I looked at the pictures!

Hi Suze-
Ive been a lurker since around the time your babies were born...coming out of hiding to tell you that earlier this month I went to Houston for the first time (I live in Ohio) and my friends took me to Lupe's and it was awesome. If I had happened to look over and see you and your family I probably would have freaked out, came over and introduced myself! I missed you by a few weeks!

Awesome pictures! I can't even get my twins (same age as the quads) to sleep in the same room, but you guys pulled off two sets of quads????? Amazing!

Great group shot picutes. I am amazed that y'all got all eight kids to sit still in a row. Impressive!

By the way...I was the mom who introduced myself to you at the Science Museum yesterday! So nice to "meet" you. Hope y'all enjoyed your time there!

What wonderful pictures. At breakfast, did y'all just stand back and say, "WOW, they are all ours?" How luck you four parents are. It looks like you had a wonderful weekend.

I came across your blog just recently. And I cannot tell you how much I have enjoyed going back and reading about your family. I love that you started your blog when it was just you and Joe (I am also married to a Joe btw!) and you weren't even sure when you guys would be starting a family and that now you are a Quad family. Thank you for sharing your stories with us! Wishing you and your family nothing but the best!!!

Looks like so much fun! The kids are gonna hate you for those kissing pictures, but we all thank you for making us smile. HAAAA!

I'm wishing I had quads so I could have fun with all of you quad mommies. Or, uhhhh, maybe not. :)

That sounds like a ton of fun!

Funny about the bird. My parents had one of those that eventually cracked the window.

Yup, I already left a comment but I had to add something I forgot. Those pictures of Sav are hilarious! I love her expressions. The middle picture of her, in her pink tu-tu..she looks like she's thinking "I do NOT approve of this one bit". Like she's not happy with what all the other 7 kids are doing. She is going to get such a kick out of these pictures one day.

I loved getting the text/pic mail updates throughout the weekend, but reading the play-by-play post was even better! My cheeks hurt from grinning from ear to ear the entire time.

I can't even begin to imagine the comments you all received when the whole gang was out and about. That would be an entire post in itself, I'm sure.

Love all the Steelich's!
