On Christmas Eve it began to snow! (The day before, it had been 70 degrees!) As soon as I saw the first snowflake, I quickly grabbed coats out of closets and tried to shuffle the quads outside before it stopped.---I say "quickly", but good gawsh- it takes FOREVER to bundle up 4 kids!
It is difficult to see the snowflakes, but here is Ethan and Savannah experiencing snow for the first time.
Love this pic of Ben smiling!
Poor Drew just looks SO cold!
It was ridiculously windy, so we came inside to warm up a bit (Drew, E, Ben)
Peeking out at the snow (Lil Miss has already stripped down and is wearing Mama's shoes...cracks me up)
Later that evening, we bundled the kids up again and were headed out to see the Grand Prairie Lights...but alas, it was closed---the snow and wind had done some damage. So we were all dressed up with nowhere to go...
So we came inside, popped a ton of popcorn and gathered in front of the TV to watch the Grinch! Notice Andrew going in with both hands and a full mouth! Afterward, Mom gave all 4 kiddos some much needed haircuts!
Christmas morning was beyond magical! Joe and I like to wake up with our kids, at our home, on Christmas morning--just our little family.
So before we ate a big breakfast or opened presents, we got the kids outside to play in the snow before it melted. (Ethan and Sav--they are SO cute in their little hats and rainboots!)
Ben is checking things out...
And if you notice in all of these pics, the twinks never let their cars out of their hands. Drew (left) even kept one glove on, and took his other glove off---to hold his fire truck easier.
Sav was actually verbalizing at this point in time: "No Mama...NO pictures, Mama"--bossy little thang, but oh-so-cute in her outfit!
Again with the cars---Andrew (blue) and Ethan (red)
Making snow balls
Sweet Drew, stopping for a sweet smile
Dadda swinging little E
Trouble.
Ben trying to tell us something...
Again, with the cars (E and Drew)
And my favorite part of the morning: watching Sav eat the snow!
Such a great, special time as a family of 6---listening to Christmas tunes and playing with new toys! Later that afternoon, we packed up and headed on down to Austin for Christmas with the Steeces!

I recently found your blog through MckMamma's and love it! Your quads are almost exactly the same age as my son Will (born 7-27-07). We also like to wake up on Christmas in our own home. I'm jealous that you all got snow down in TX and we got none here in AR! Your children are so cute and I'm glad you all had a nice Christmas!
This reminded me of our Texas Christmas in 04. We lived in Corpus which had never had snow and it snowed on Christmas eve. My oldest was 2 at the time and she built her first snowman. Magical. Looks like you all had a great Christmas too, what great pictures!
See I told you that you would get to see snow with your kiddoes!!!! How cool was it that it snowed for Christmas. I love it!!! Love miss priss's outfit! Love you woman!
Great post as usual Suz...love the twinks and their trucks...sounds like my Ty!
I hope you are all well and happy as can be. Miss you tons!

I'm so jealous. We're about 2.5 hours SE of y'all. All our DFW-area friends were posting pics of snow on Cmas morning. Ours came down pretty hard for about an hour on the 24th, but nothing stuck. bummer!
Wow..that doesnt happen much in Texas!! How lucky..what a wonderful memory for the quads!! (and mom and dad too..I know I get just as excited when we get snow in Houston! lol)
I read your blog all the time and the white Christmas post cracks me up for a couple of reasons. One, well I live in Northeast Ohio and we are up to our ears in snow December-March. Also, you had the kids all bundled up, too cute!
I actually did not grow up in Ohio and did not see snow until I was 7. I will always remember my first snow and how magical it was. Those pictures always make me smile because my first snow was just a dusting.
OMG, I love their pictures. Lots of fun.
Too fun!! It looks like the kids had a great time. We didn't get any snow in Austin, but I enjoyed hearing the tales from my Dallas friends.
Hope the Steeces have a fabulous 2010!!
I love her little pink coat!! Can I get one in my size??
