CANCER FREE!!!!

Mom had a PET scan last week and we found out that she is CANCER FREE! Yaaaaaaay!!!!! We are rejoicing and praising God.

This is Mom with her “cancer-fightin’-cowboy”, Dr. Bevers (gynecological oncologist), from MD Anderson in Houston, TX.

She will have blood work in 3 months and will continue her oral cancer medication (which inhibits estrogen production) for about a year.

We cannot thank you enough for all of the prayers and well wishes. I truly believe in the power of prayer and you were all my Mom’s little angels…especially when it was difficult for me to pray at times~ I tend to avoid God when I’m scared to death to know what His answer might be. (truth bomb)

So I appreciate each and every one of you…more than you could EVER know. Thank you.

This is amazing and wonderful news, Suz! Do you happen to know the name of the drug your mom was on? My mom was 14 years (breast) cancer free until November and is now fighting a recurrence in her bones. She started an oral estrogen blocker Friday. Thanks and SO happy for you and your Mama!!

Yes, our family van never thank all of you enough for all the prayers on Granna's behalf. The prayers of righteous men and women were truly heard. The staff at M D Anderson hospital and treatment center are amazing, so thank you Dr. Bevers, Chronowski, Thieriault, PA Kathy Z, Kelli P, and Others: Kim, Linda, Donna, Laura, Cheryl, Karen, and everyone else. Also we thank our wonderful sister-in-law Carol who so graciously allowed us to stay at her house for months off and on when we were at Katy or Houston. God bless! Papa Hoag.

So happy to hear this! I've kept your mama and family in my prayers since you first shared the diagnosis here; such a blessing for her to be cancer free!! As a side note in reference to your mention of it being difficult to pray at times - I'm sure God heard every prayer you didn't have the words to speak, that is the beauty of having Him in your heart.
