Daddy's Little Girl

Sweet, sister Savannah had her icky kidney testing at the hospital yesterday. These tests have always been pretty rough on the little gal and dear 'ole mom (as seen here)...but we got through them yet again and will find out the results on June 15th. Crossing fingers and praying for GREAT news!

You know how when Jennifer Aniston got the infamous haircut on Friends and everybody went to their salon and asked for the "jennifer haircut". Well Friday I printed your picture and went and asked for the "Suz haircut" and yes I am so pleased with it. I hope Ms. Sav is feeling ok

Unfortunately we have to go through the same tests with our son Sean. So far nothing has gotten worse but they still can not find a cause for his bilateral hydronephrosis. We have been lucky enough to avoid any infections too. Has she been ok as far as that goes? I have not noticed any posts about that since the one time she had a really bad infection. I hope that the results are positive and she is getting better!

Your little Savannah is so adorable in those photos. Praying that all turns out well and she has great results come June 15th! A friend of mine just found out that her baby girl has a similar issue - a UTI appeared very early on and now she is on antibiotics (urinary reflex up into the ureters) and may have to undergo surgery at a later point.
Crossing my fingers for positive results!

Glad you both survived the testing and hoping for the absolute BEST news on the 15th!

The princess and pops pics are too freakin' cute! Makes you wonder how anyone could even live with themselves after performing those tests on such a sweetie-pie.

Love ya!

I'm glad you both got through the testing yet again...I've been wondering what the latest update was on Sav's kidneys, my 11 month old daughter has the same condition, hydronephrosis on her right kidney. She had VUR on the left as well, but it resolved itself. Unfortunantly her right kidney had lost function by 8 weeks old due to it's severity. She pretty much had no function (just 8%) at birth. They found hers on my 20 week ultrasound. She will have surgery on August 25th to remove the right kidney, since her left kidney is compensating for the right, and the right kidney is not functioning and is backed up with fluid, her pedi urologist has decided the best route is surgery to remove it. I really feel for you, she's been through the daily antibiotics, the catheters, ultrasounds, vcug's, and lasix renal scans too, its no fun is it?

If you ever need to chat about this with someone who's going through it, my email is momma2michelle at yahoo dot com.

Good luck and I will pray for good results.

PS-Savanna (and all of your kiddos) are adorable! You sure can't tell she's got anything "wrong", same with my little peanut :) Other than the trips to the urologist and the tests, it's pretty much business as usual!

Hi! I have been following your blog recently and just wanted to say that I too feel what you are going through and your sweet little girl. My daughter was diagnosed with Grade IV vesicoureteral reflux at 2 months old. We have been through ALL the tests that is very traumatic for her AND me. She is 5 months old now and we are proceeding with surgery this month at Cook's with Dr. Pugach - I think he is the same practice with your daughters doctor. I am hoping and praying that this will be over soon and no more antibiotics and testing again for a very long time. I hope that you hear good news and ya'll will be in our prayers. I have a blog ( it is a work in progress) if you ever want to talk about it - www.thebrucebunch5.blogspot.com

Oh honey! My oldest is now nearly 13 but I still feel like the most traumatic event we've had to live through with any of the kids was her VCUG when she was 2! Such an awful, yucky test to have to get through!! I'm sorry y'all have to do it, too!

WOW...what a cute little girl! I think that everytime I see a picture of her she get cuter! :)
Random question...a couple of my friends and I are going to be in the dallas/fort worth/arlington area June 27-28th and I was wondering if you have any suggestions on good churches? Thanks ahead of time for the advice. :)
